Halted! Friday the 13th! And my short position was bought in at Interactive Brokers yesterday after hours, effective just before the halt. :(
and of course the last remaining 20 shares of my short position were bought- in at Interactive Brokers this morning.... :( To all those short, enjoy the party!
Well, if this is the dump, then I will be grumpy. I have a profitable boxed position (shorted before the pump started, long yesterday in a different account), but am missing out on this down leg. I had assumed that Paragon would be able to do better than this. Oh well, beats being long and not able to exit. Next decision will be based on today's closing price.
Bought-in again at Interactive Brokers! I am still the proud holder of a 20 share short position, with which I intend to apply ruthless downwards pressure on the pps, because that's what us evil shorters do! MDBX has been very difficult to maintain a long- term short position. I seem to get bought in after holding periods of 2 - 4 weeks. But as the trend has been down since I first started shorting at $57, I have had a good return. I often wonder if I am the only contributor on this board who actually trades MDBX...
I have a small short position and I am hoping that MDBX gets bought by another company!
Why, you may ask?
As stated in the latest S1/A, MDBX is trading at over 100 times book value and the majority of shares are held by insiders. Any buyout is going to happen at a substantial discount to the current pps. Bring on the buyout!
Fanatic in a good way!
1. Because it's a pump and dump.

2. @InvestorsLive, a trading guru with fanatic followers, announced his short position on Twtter.
Disclosure, short.
Ironically, a significant increase in price in an already overvalued stock establishes the conditions which provide short-biased traders the best opportunity to profit! And who said MDBX is overvalued? MDBX management. So all I can say is thanks for your support!
Sell the news...
Disclosure - small short position.
Why not good?
Disclosure - small short position.
I hope so, that's my target for covering my small short position.
Yes, I'm short...
Interesting connection... Any chance of any providing any evidence to back this up?
Disclosure - small short position in MDBX
Q-3 net loss per case is $7.50.
Even with the substantial drop in pps I am not sure how the company is still not over valued at $25 million.
Disclosure - small short position, starting to think about covering.
On occasion, small numbers of shares are available to short at Interactive Brokers. Today there are none, a few days ago there were at least 1,000.
S-1 expected selling price range has dropped from $20 - $30 to $16 - $20, now only 100 times book value! The buyers will be lining up at dawn to get in at this price!
Disclosure - small short position.
Given the S-1 target of $20-$30 and the fact that the chart had strong support at $20, I am very surprised to see the price dip this far below $20. The obvious conclusion is that it's all over. But, price action never lies, so I will respect what the chart says over the next week or two. Disclosure - small short position.
When a stock is halted by the SEC and then starts trading on the grey market, the stock usually starts trading at around 20% of the pre-halt price. The price usually then declines at a much slower rate than you would expect, as share holders are often in denial about the fact that there is zero chance of getting reinstated to a higher tier. I have held short positions (and unfortunately one long position) through SEC halts. Disclosure - small short position in MDBX.
My short position was Subjected to a buy-in at Interactive Brokers. I think this is the fifth or sixth time this has happened. I held this latest short position for about six weeks from $29.
Do any of the "bashers" on this site actually hold a short position? Any one actually managed to hold a long term short position without a buyin? If so what broker?
Total short position is only about 13,000.
I think I have been on this board too long. Symptoms of the Stockholm Syndrome starting to appear...
Let's cut Vinny some slack here. Putting J.D. behind your name DOES NOT equate to claiming to be a lawyer. It equates to claiming to having a degree in law. To be a lawyer, you need to be called to the bar and licensed to practice in your jurisdiction. Anyone concerned about the use of J.D. should be researching whether or not he has a law degree.
I have a small short position due to the fact that MDBX is overvalued, as even MDBX management have publicly stated. However, I am a trend trader using the daily charts and go by guidance "the trend is your friend, until it bends at the end". Depending on today's closing price, I may be buying to cover sooner rather than later. I will not be going long myself, but it could be a profitable trade...
As always, I enjoy this ongoing soap opera. Are their annual iHub awards for "most entrenched and persistent factions" or similar theme?
First sentence in this article mentions fraud convictions of founder. Is this the kind of press coverage you are looking for?
I give up... Which is it?
How can I not respect the skill and patience of the insiders who have kept the pps at levels that even they have acknowledged are inflated.
Well I suppose it depends on the timeframe. I trade off the daily charts, and all I can see is a continuous down-trend since the start of September. Price has not yet climbed above yesterday's high, so no need for longs to get excited yet.
Disclosure - small short position. The trend is your friend until it bends at the end!
I think you got this all wrong. A declining price on an OTC stock is often a sign of institutional buying! The hedge funds will short the stock to get the retail longs to panic, and then scoop up shares at a bargain. This must be true, coz I read it on iHub!
In any case, I will hold my small short position until I perceive that the down trend on the daily chart is no longer my friend (i.e. when it bends at the end)
The $22's are here!
It looks like painting the tape with wash trades above the ask is being attempted to slow the decline. Not convinced this will do much, but all wash trading is traceable and can be used as evidence in SEC proceedings.
Why would a company with a secured production environment use a Medbox vending machine for inventory control? Makes no business sense to me.
Why would a Canadian producer use consulting services of a US company with zero experience in the Canadian regulatory environment? Makes no business sense to me.
Disclosure - small short position.
MDBX revenue potential in Canada - ZERO!!!!!!
New regulations require:
Licensed producers will distribute medical mmj via secure courier.
Storefronts or retail outlets will not be permitted.
Disclosure: small short position and I live in Canada.
A deep sea trawler would come up empty if they were going after sardines. Sardines are caught along coastlines at the surface!
Disclosure- short OCTX.
What do you make of the fact that 200,000 shares of OCTX suddenly became available to short at Interactive Brokers a few days ago, and price action is testing support. Manipulated short trap with squeeze to follow, or just a random event?
Hi parabol, when did you start spamming iHub boards? Disclosure - looking to cover the final 1/3 of my short position. In spite of very low liquidity, I survived with no buy-ins all the way down. Good luck with your Vegas presentation - I won't be there this year, see you next October!
Ummmmm, almost everyone posting on this board is here because they already know it is a pump and dump!
I would wait a few more weeks before dismissing this promo. I predict that the daily chart will be up ticking by next week. Disclosure - I am often wrong, looking to short at a much higher price. No position now.
I am not convinced that the promoters are finished with ADMC. There are some interesting links to the promoters of FXPT, which was a very successful longer term promo.
It's a mystery to me. Nothing listed on the OTC daily list that is current. Interactive Brokers does not recognize the ticker, and they are always on top of symbol changes due to splits.
Disclosure - short this worthless company that is subject to a never ending series of promos.
Promoters are attempting to establish a Pavlovian response in traders to "buy the dip" to maximize the number of traders that "buy the dump".
I wasn't forgetting, I was too lazy to do the extra research. This is iHub after all...
