Let's cut Vinny some slack here. Putting J.D. behind your name DOES NOT equate to claiming to be a lawyer. It equates to claiming to having a degree in law. To be a lawyer, you need to be called to the bar and licensed to practice in your jurisdiction. Anyone concerned about the use of J.D. should be researching whether or not he has a law degree.
