That could be why the uranium leases were picked up. Those are in Nevada, I believe. CGFIA may become UGFIA???
Optimiss says no mouse tags! We have to go to Alaska to visit AK or my brother in law's for the moose. (maybe caribou too!)
I told Glengold I'll shoot with a Nikon.
I enjoy the outdoors, but I'll let you guys get the meat.
I'll cook if someone washes the pots & pans!!
I had mouse ribs and steaks in Alaska. Great eating. I'll go along and "shoot" with a Nikon!
Someone has to immortalize the hunt for you guys.
I'll have my 4 wheel drive "Extreme RV" by then. (We need some creature comforts and a fridge to carry the grog!)
Hey Maineman! You hear that? Moose or Elk hunting!!
That depends on what those conditions are. If the economic cost of the conditions are high, then it will effect the PPS. If it is just a minor condition (like keeping a few extra records) with low associated costs, then not so much.
Think of it this way, "how much money will I have for beer if I have dinner first?" A hotdog will mean you get plastered, a filet mignon will mean you can drive home and not risk a DUI ticket.
When it comes to government agencies, "you don't know what you don't know!"
I was trying to find anything on the mining issues. Most of his releases were about conservation and the "road free" areas, but it seems he is looking at everything concerning the state's the job situation.
Check out his "State of the State" message. (on his web page. Just search for his name and it is the first item to come up.) He talks about fostering all sizes of businesses and the associated jobs.
The red tape issue was so close to home with CGFI, POW, the DRMS & MLRB I just had to post it.
Quote: "No investor in the real world would sit back and watch their Cgi ceo guyer collect anything at all when no results or income has never been done. It's not realistic whatsoever."
I know I posted this not so long ago. Look at the quarterly reports. The latest 10Q,(4/12) page 20 states: "Our Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer have forgone any cash compensation since September 2008. Since September 2010, the CEO and CFO have not accepted any stock based compensation". So neither Mr Guyer OR Mr. Rice have collected any cash in 45 months, or stock payments in 29 months. Remember?
Thanks for the LII, Star! It helps cheap guys like me get an inside look at things.
I appreciate it much.
GLTY & us all!
Love the humor, kuni! Just what we need right now.
Look for AMNPD as the new ticker symbol post R/S.
Same company, different symbol.
The R/S should increase the PPS and allow it to become an eligible DTC traded stock.
Post merger, the speculation is that CGFI can trade through their non-chilled status. (At least that is what I have read. Is it the way it will happen? HI2K!!)
I believe it was slated for donation to the historical society, and was planned to be relocated to an area in Silverton that has other items or the same "vintage". I know there is a mining museum in town.
Optimiss can give us exact details as she is familiar with the group, I believe.
It shouldn't present a holdup in terms of CGFI's startup.
Good question/ catch Kuni!
CGFI
It is tedious, but the average reader should have the opportunity to see the documents that CGFI & the DRMS have on record and judge for themselves what the real story is.
If left unchallenged, the truth will be overshadowed by ignorance.
JMHO.
Thanks for the kind words, Jazzpa!
In a few weeks the decision will be released by the DRMS/MLRB and this will all be a moot topic.
"Declare victory and leave the field?"
Not again!
Quote:
"I see no reason to further waste time on a pointless debate."
Then why bring up claims about the POW that are incorrect, or information about CGFIA that is inaccurate, only to declare it pointless?
The information regarding CGFI executive compensation comes from the SEC filings. Are you implying the information is false? Show us evidence if you have it.
Please provide the source or basis for those claims.
Have a good one Odega!
See you tomorrow for more in-depth CGFI information!
I'm not making any accusations. Again you misunderstand. I'm just correcting the misinformation stated in your posts.
You should refresh your memory by reading those posts from today again.
Let me help:
The posts claimed that the CGFI POW mill was not is repair.
My links showed that they had to get permission to do ANYTHING, or undergo sanctions from the DRMS, as agreed to in the joint stipulation.
Your next post claimed the DRMS didn't have jurisdiction over maintenance items.
That assertion has been proven wrong by the items I linked to.
Now your posts are claiming a list exists of items that Guyer hasn't completed? Please show me where you are finding that information.
Your assertions have no basis in fact. Every claim presented in your submissions about mill maintenance have been proven false.
Intentional deflection from the topic you raised will convince no one that your claims of neglecting repairs are correct.
A link or two to some evidence would be helpful. But "no more links are forthcoming" as you said earlier. That statement was from several hours ago. Perhaps some evidence or links can be forthcoming now?
Read this and then you will have more understanding of what the DRMS has control over under the C&D order:
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/0/doc/910732/Page1.aspx?searchid=d083f99e-5923-4acb-86a1-fe191097c684
In the first paragraph it CLEARLY states:
"Under paragraph 7(g) of the joint stipulation, Colorado Goldfields acknowledges that any site activities SHALL NOT TAKE PLACE WITHOUT PRIOR CONSULTATION AND APPROVAL of the Division through a technical revision or amendment to the current permit. Therefore, the office is authorized to address your request through paragraph 7(g) of the stipulation."
The document then continues to address items A- 1 through 12, B- 1through 9, C- 1 through 5, D- 1 through 6, E- 1 through 10 and F- 1 through 13.
It does in fact seem you ARE "confused by the jargon" as you put it.
And just in case you are "confused" as to what those items refer to, here is the link to the original document FROM CGFI that the DRMS is referring to:
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/0/doc/909933/Page1.aspx?searchid=2144a223-a971-4560-b189-5ccdd935caed
You obviously are not familiar with the items you assert are not applicable to CGFI from the DRMS.
The statement you make in your reply to me is TOTALLY FALSE.
Go back and reread the TR-11. EVERYTHING that CGFI wants to do at the mill, while under the C&D order needs to be cleared by the DRMS. That's including the cosmetic things you talked about in your earlier post AND the repairs that the company wants to do to the equipment.
Did you bother to read it at all? Items like replacing bearings, rebuilding equipment, replacing electrical panels, and other general maintainence items are under the control of the DRMS. If CGFI performs this work without the go ahead of the DRMS, which by the way they were granted, they expose themselves to sanctions from the state.
Here is the link so you can familiarize yourself with the documents:
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/0/doc/932550/Page1.aspx?searchid=b7ae2143-5ef1-42aa-9dec-7104cfcdef98
But you are going to have to wait till the system is back up. At this time the DRMS Laserfiche system is off line.
Here is a report I found regarding the State of Colorado and the problem they recognize with the "Red Tape" in so many of its agencies. The MLRB & DRMS participated in the discussions and report.
The report is titled
"Cutting Red Tape in Colorado State Government"
http://www.dora.state.co.us/dora_pages/CuttingRedTape.pdf
Page 62 & 63 talk about the regulations and permitting process:
Re: CMLRB & CDRMS:
If you looked at the 75 documents that come up for "AM-02", search, you will see:

And this item:

And this:

140 pages of specifications answering many of the DRMS requests.
And this:
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/0/doc/918955/Page1.aspx?searchid=b7ae2143-5ef1-42aa-9dec-7104cfcdef98

But this is of special note, since you assert that the items done are "cosmetic"
Read the items carefully.
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/0/doc/932550/Page1.aspx?searchid=b7ae2143-5ef1-42aa-9dec-7104cfcdef98
Note the items labeled "ELECTRICAL" AND "MECHANICAL" Not one of those items are considered "cosmetic" any more than changing the fuse box in your home is cosmetic or changing the brakes on your car is cosmetic.
Your assertion that:
Well, the petition was sent to the Governor. He was the main addressee. The DRMS director was just CC'd as a courtesy.
As long as the Governor got the word about CGFI & the POW, "mission accomplished", we hope!!
It can get confusing very quickly when you see all the technical info on CGFI. The last amendment was over 500 pages long!! (AM-03) That's why we post things here and try to supply links.. Lots of eyes and ears looking at the various sources catch plenty of things one would miss on their own. And then there are interpretative viewpoints.
If you can't see a link or get a source for a seemingly important subject, you have to question if it is, in fact, correct.
Just ask for help. I'm not the only guy here with info, and I do make mistakes. So please correct me if I'm wrong. (I have a small problem with typing numbers, I invert things sometimes. Remember, "dyslexics are teople poo!")
We all benefit from the conversation about valid subject matter. ( and we try to have a bit of fun along the way!)
CGFI
And I'll stop using "Tbow tax". That's the program that prays the tax filing is accepted by the IRS, and sends a few bucks extra just because it's the right thing to do!
Hope we all see the success of CGFI and the other one.
I'm still wondering if the two companies could have use for the other's services. I know it's a different type of mine in each case, but that would be a real coincidence if it were to happen.
Oh well, one company and one problem at a time.
Keep sending the humor, Star. Some of us need the lift every now and then.
Here is a link to a summary of the pro and con letters received by the DRMS, composed by Mr. Wallace Erickson.
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/ElectronicFile.aspx?docid=957607&searchid=2c98f17b-f256-45aa-b924-c130c3f90ef1&dbid=0
If you go to the petition webpage, there are over 180 support petitions showing, but some were late getting to the DRMS.
I can't explain the difference, but it may be that they grouped everything from the same names together. I sent a letter to the DRMS, and signed the petition. But I am not on the petition list. Makes you wonder how they file things. That's not a criticism of the DRMS, just a bit of confusion over the missing petition count.
I think 180 (or even just 37) emails on the same topic would be noticed by someone on the Governor's staff.
I'll let you know if I find anything from the Honorable Gov.
No, I haven't seen any, but I think he wouldn't say anything in a public forum....Not yet at least.
I think if he says anything it will be directly to the DRMS /MLRB, giving them a chance to do the job right, and save their reputation.
JMHO
I'll see if I can search for any comments by his office.
LOL, SG! Over my dead body! Not with my CGFIA bucks!!! Don't ya know millionaires get "preferential treatment", tax wise. It's more like "make a million and keep it all!!!" I like that better, if I'm on they side of the fence!
Like my grandmother used to say, "we should all have those problems".
I agree, Cesium. If I'm making the money, I'll pay my fair share.
Here is to hoping for "those problems" from CGFIA stock.
Ok, Jazzpa, here is a link to the DRMS approval of TR-11:
http://drmsweblink.state.co.us/drmsweblink/0/doc/934205/Page1.aspx?searchid=5cb43eb1-7f85-4435-8177-8bad49973e9e
Notice the list and what it includes. It deals with the recovery of the Settling ponds and the necessary work to complete that reclamation.
And nothing is being done at the mill to fix the environmental problems? Obviously that is a erroneous statement from yesterday.
Check out the DRMS site when you are done looking at this document. There are a total of 17 pieces of correspondence about TR-11. More proof that work is in progress.
GLTYA
CGFI
(Does this mean I get the extra grog and less beatings tonight?)
That's right Hink. And you may realize that it makes sense to sell more CGFI stock (if it is higher in value) than you originally thought if there is a higher rate next year. Take the profits now, and buy again for the next tax year, reducing the total bite the government takes. It all depends on what Congress decides. But I'm no tax expert. When the year end approaches and the situation is better defined, talk to a tax expert.
That's what I'm going to do.
Let's hope we have those things to consider regarding CGFIA.
Or maybe he could just start it up and mill some gold and silver ore for a client or two.
The mill is in an enclosed structure and is a rugged design. It has to be. It crushes rock for a 30+ year like span.
The assumption that it is in disrepair is what needs to be proven.
It was running just fine when it was shut down by the C&D.
Having personal career experience in manufacturing equipment for 20+ years, I can tell you that with equipment of this type there will be little to repair.
Odega can verify the usual electrical readiness of equipment.
This post makes you believe the mill is in disrepair. Just check out the DRMS documents and see the type of 51 items that were listed and 49 of which were approved for work last season. It included painting and some plumbing repairs. If there were major items needing attention, it would have been requested in that list.
Check the facts. Then judge for yourself.
Hey Hinkey!
I just looked it up again to confirm. I made the assumption that most of us were of the poorer "non-millionaire" types. (that's where I fit in.)
LTCG rate is 0% if you are in the 10% and 15% tax bracket. (thanks to President G W Bush.) That law runs out at the end of 2012.
Here is a wiki article on it:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_gains_tax_in_the_United_States
God bless you if you are in the higher rate range. But the point is next year the rates will most probably be higher.
Keep an eye on Congress for their decision. The rates have not been set yet.
Let's hope it stays the same.
Our luck it will probably be much higher just when we have something to report!!!
"TR-11" = "Technical Revision #11"
That is a change in the plans that is considered minor enough to not require an "Amendment", such as "AM-03".
Off the top of my head I can't remember exactly what it deals with. I believe it may have concerning the reclamation of the settling ponds.
I will try to find it on the DRMS web site in a bit and post a link for you all to refresh our collective memories.
If anyone can find it first, an extra ration of grog will be rewarded, and 10 less lashes will be given out tonight to the lucky crewman/ woman!
CGFIA
Agree, 100% mou10mn. I was just looking at it from an equipment / machinery standpoint. Even the fact that it is fully assembled and ready to run, is not considered. That was a bare minimum price. Sort of what your car is worth if you sold it for its parts. If you evaluate it from a "only one in hundreds of miles" standpoint, the value jumps exponentially.
The market will adjust accordingly and he value of the stock should reflect at least a higher % of it.
That is when he fun really starts.
I wish you good luck. You will be one of the many investors cashing in if all things work out.
Just do a little investigating and reading on your own. Learn what you can. Lots of guys here will point you to the available facts.
The more you know, the better choices you will make. Knowledge is power AND money here.
If there is anything you need help with, just ask. There are no "dumb questions". If you are wondering about something, others usually are or have too.
We try and help each other out here.
Ultimately, the decisions to buy and sell are yours, so learn all you can.
Hold on to your vision of the pool and house. I always believed you can make your dreams come true if you give it the effort it deserves.
You just may owe your friend a beer or two soon for pointing you to this stock! (JMHO)
Congrats warmeblaffer! That's the best point to buy in to a stock like this. Low price, high potential.
And, "Welcome to the board".
There are risks, yes. Just like any investment, the unknown is the biggest risk. CGFI has been doing a lot of work to become a functioning gold mill and mine, with a profitable future. There have been delays. But the effort has always been there.
It is all approaching the critical point now, and the fun should be starting with the approval of AM-03.
JMHO, of course. But I'm betting on it.
Good luck to you and the other investors in CGFI.
Too much is more than you can afford, GTI. Stay within your budget. Enough is what you can afford to buy, and loose. Your budget should not exceed what you can afford to lose all of, every single cent, if everything goes wrong.
"Plan for the worst, hope for the best." is the correct strategy.
By the way, that figure, 15.5 million shares, is just about what I hold.
But I am me, you are your own person. Make a plan, and stick to it. In the long run that is valuable advice.
"Investors get rich, hogs get slaughtered." That's another good thing to remember.
Good luck, GTI.
We are all looking for, and hoping for some great numbers, Brendan.
Just keep in mind that it may take a bit of time to realize the bigger numbers. And you already know that the POW is the first, and key step, for now. After that, the price per share will rise and fall. That is the natural course of just about every stock. It rarely is a straight line up.
Those dips and rises will be more opportunities to earn a few more dollars profit, if that is your strategy.
CGFI has been working on this uphill battle to restart the POW mill for so long. It would be foolish and mistaken to say they haven't, IMHO. The proof is obvious.
As the hearing approaches, the rhetoric will increase.
Stay cool and await the day we can all laugh our way to the bank.
Watch for a run up before the DRMS and MLRB hearings. (You know, it happened in 2010) Take a little profit if you can. (If you have held some shares over a year, remember that they are "long term capital" investments. This year the tax rate is still zero on that tax class. Next year may be different. But we can discuss that as the opportunity arrives and price rises.
First things first.
Mill approval in the next few weeks!
GLTYA!
CGFI
"Let's get to work!"
There will be opportunities as it rises, Guru. This is the smallest risk for the biggest gains, right now.
It can't go much lower, and the up side is infinity, numerically. (but realistically it does have a top end.)
And if you are a chartist, then it should follow a Fibonacci pattern as it rises. People will take profits, the PPS will rise and fall, and every dip will be a new opportunity for the scholars out there to make a profit.
So take it when you can, Guru. Don't stretch yourself beyond your limits.
Most of us longs need to see substantially higher numbers than we are at. (I'm lucky, I only need .00035 to break even. It's all profit after that.)
Make your moves as it suits your situation.
This won't move to .60 (as an example) overnight. (If it does, you will still see more opportunities for everyone!!) It will take a few months, IMHO. But up it will go, with mill approval.
Hang in there everyone. This situation with the MM's is just a tiny example of what COULD happen when the buying starts.
They all depend on the mill approval, Glengold47, but the logic is there. Now, are they certain? Definitely not. We could get hit by a meteor and the earth could end tomorrow, or the caldera under Yellowstone could explode in the world's largest volcano. You don't know what you don't know.
If everything goes in favor of CGFI, the numbers could and should be better.
Here is hoping there are more good things in store than obstacles in our way.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!
CGFI
