Your TA is so useful.
AMRN chart is bullish, until it isn't.
What's the textbook definition?
Looking at the simple moving averages, my chart shows the 50 and 200 virtually at the same point now. Just about at the cross point.
This article doesn't (and cannot) address the possible long-term problems with this type of vaccine.
Dr.Lee Merritt covers the approach of treating vs. vaccinating here.
Why does media, (funded by big pharma) try to censor dissenting voices in a country where free speech is supposedly a right?

I'll wait, maybe a year or two. Previous tests in animals of vaccines like these have resulted in animals dying of antibody-dependent enhancement.

I'm up 25% on it so far. Subscription model, like Pelaton. Stay at home economy. It's small market cap hi rev growth attractive. Extended now...
Gotta learn more about stock structure.
Going sideways in this market is about the same as dead money.
Big money is being made in stocks who's business model are not affected by the economic shutdown in (over)reaction to COVID.
Primarily business software. If you don't have a piece of the leaders the opportunity cost of being out is real.
DDOG TWLO SHOP TTD RGEN (biotech) COUP PTON (pelaton fitness) BILL
To name some examples. I'm mostly out of AMRN while I do watch for some real movement or developments. Have some calls. Traded out of most in hi 7, low 8's. Hoping for success, but having much more with buying the fast revenue growers.
Good luck to all.
For solid ideas along these lines, I highly recommend following @saxena_puru on twitter. No fee for his ideas and thoughts.
Is Covington the same law firm that represented General Flynn? His lawyers were documented corrupt and in collusion with the special prosecutor.
For those who get their news from CNN, ABC, MSNBC, etc., Flynn was railroaded. Smoking gun documents out yesterday and today. I think his original defense lawyers were Covington. I don't know if it's same firm AMRN used.
GIA in Europe? Is that a serious possibility?
How many separate countries?
How many sales reps?
Costs?
Big takeaway, GILD isn't buying today.
Just say COVID about 5 times...stop saying Robust
If you know about chart reading, it may indicate coming news, but it could just be that no one is left to sell. Buyers plus shorts covering far outnubmer the sellers could be the explanation for the price move. Cleared resistance 8.58 is the next obvious target. Not a prediction, just the obvious next significant point on the chart barring other news or circumstances.
Looks like 6.50 gap from yesterday will fill today.
Will it hold that level, bounce, or drop further?
better than a sharp stick in the eye
will evaluate partners, prob action Q3
bravo
Don't hesitate to share your perspective.
You make a lot of sense. Digging into the details of why Judge Du is wrong is a job for the lawyers. But more important is dealing with the crap sandwich we have. And what to do now based on the current facts and circumstances to enhance whatever share value remains.
Clearly Europe is where the low-risk value now lies. USA value is most certainly at risk.
Keep preaching.
What I really mean is that no amount of dd would be enough to justify holding a position unhedged through a court decision.
You should change your name to Nostradamus!
What's going to happen first?
AMRN (now at $5.46) to $7
Or EXAS (now trading at $58.21, to about $70.
Similar percentage gain.
Do this with your favorite beaten-down stock with good prospects for recovery.
We need the plan from AMRN. At some point, with the beaten-down market, it would make sense to spread risk on other rebound bets.
lawyers? timing of injunction announcement? days, weeks?
well said. Their silence had better mean they are working hard on a sensible strategy.
congrats, looks like u playin it like a fiddle. For momo players, check out DOCU up on this down day.
yes, that's universal with rare exception
12-15 would be a homerun for the small investor, IF it happens in a short period of time.
Yes a criminal steal for BP, but languishing for years at low-mid single digits versus getting back to last weeks dollars...no brainer if can be done quickly.
But management's agenda is hard to predict. Denial and shock must be overcome and who knows if it can be.
For alternative investing strategies, I use an O'Neil disciple's service. read Oneil how to make money in stocks.
I don't have private email here, but his service recommended buy in DOCU It's on the move today. Many other stocks will move faster than AMRN. I'n not saying sell, but maybe in a controlled way spread out. Marder report look for it
KOL = ? Key opinion leaders?
Can you trust the company leadership to go this route? If they were rational and prone to making the best business decisions versus following crusades they wouldn't have let this decision be in the hands of one individual...Judge Du. Settling would have been the low risk way to go.
If they don't immediately indicate they will move on selling, new leadership is in order.
Conference call will not discuss litigation
Yeah, I see it's doing wonders for what matters, the stock price.
Job got nothing on AMRN holders regarding patience.
Another cause of inflammation inf the form of arthritic pain is gluten and sugar. And you are probably aware that any simple carb is turned into sugar by the body. Actually complex carbs are also converted to sugar, but more slowly.
My wife had inflammation along with other health problems. While going the medical route, we also researched for other possible remedies. Allergies seemed to be a possibility. Typical food allergies are dairy, gluten, nuts.
For her, when she cut the gluten, most of her problems went away. And over the last several years (5-6) I have lowerd my gluten intake in sympathy.
And have been going in the direction of low carb diets and really cutting back on refined sugar.
I can really tell the difference if I go on a sugar binge now...like eating cake with icing. Sometimes feel the inflammation it in the hands and fingers.
Long way of saying if you haven't tried cutting sugar, carbs, and gluten, maybe give it a try and see if it helps.
I see no reason to see the two as related.
The sales rep suspension is explicitly temporary. The whole country is limiting social distancing due to Covid 19.
If you were in charge of the company, and you had a buyer lined up pending patent trial verdict, what would you communicate re EU partnership?
Yes, I'm an active pilot for a major airline, based in Atlanta.
From the FAA website:
"FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved less than 12 months ago. The FAA requires at least one-year of post-marketing experience with a new drug before considering if for aeromedical certification purposes. New antibiotics, lipid-lowering drugs, and antihypertensive medications may be considered earlier than one year. Please contact the RFS or AMCD for guidance on specific applicants."
Of course, vascepa has been FDA approved for several years.
The FAA doesn't actually publish a list of approved medicines. The issue is really what diagnosed condition you are being treated for. I'm actually taking this off-label so I don't really have a diagnosed condition related to Vascepa.
Vitamin D and Vascepa?
I received my lab results from my annual physical today. I didn't have lipids tested because they were just done a few months ago for an insurance exam.
But over the last 5 years my vitamin D levels have been persistently and consistently low. The levels have been 26-27. I had taken some OTC D-3 but not consistently at all.
I've been on Vascepa for about 7 months now. I haven't taken the full dose religiously as my triglycerides aren't very high, and I also usually eat 2 meals a day. So some days I take 2 pills, but most days I take 4.
So my vitamin D levels are now 37 and considered normal. The last check exactly 1 year ago was 27.
Anyone in the know... Is Vascepa rich in vitamin D? Or could there be some other cause? I have been eating more fish (still just average 2 X per week wild fish)
[quoteThis article fails to mention the prior authorization issue. The risk of growth being limited due to lack of insurance company support needs to be considered.
][/quote]
I'm with United Health Care. I think they have different policies depending on the employer.
I work for a major airline. I'm on Vascepa but paying out of pocket. United requires prior authorization. Last year my triglycerides were about 140. After 5 months on Vascepa, triglycerides lowered to about 106.
It's working, but in the eyes of the insurance company, I never needed it. (no heart risk factors, tyiglycerides below 150).
With a coupon, I have to pay about $190 per month for a full dose. I believe its better for my health but most people would not pay that much out of pocket.
Of course, if I avoid or significantly delay a heart event, dementia, have a better quality of life due to low inflammation, etc. its certainly money well spent. How to convince insurance companies, public etc... A BP who believed in it, and could highlight the overall savings to the healthcare system, would have the best chance.
I agree with you that data suggests Vascepa can prevent health deterioration.
I just had a visit with my primary care doc. She prescribed me Vascepa last year at my request. She basically thought it can't hurt anything.
But at yesterday's visit she was saying the latest thinking is "fish oil doesn't really do anything significant as a preventative treatment"
I asked her what she thought of REDUCE-IT. Her focus was on that the patients in the study had some risk for heart disease.
Seems the wrong message is getting out to some with failures of the competitors of Vascepa.
We can be right about Vascepa, but the mountain to climb convincing doctors, insurance companies, public won't be an easy climb...imo.
Dodge Challenger, you can actually have a cool-looking car and be comfortable on a road trip.
Isn't Realmoney.com associated with Jim Cramer?
Anyways it's a long-term bullish article based on technical indicators.
I'm kind of a O'Neil (canslim) and darvas kind of chartist, but I've never studied point and figure charts. THat's kabuki to me.
This author says the stars (charts, etc.) are pointing to a future price of $44. Happy reading.

I think a logical inference is that a potential acquiring company would like to set their own direct to consumer campaign. Pfizer/AZN, whoever would probably have a slightly different strategy on marketing, so assuming Amarin is in advanced talks with the big pharma they have come up with an excuse to delay the dtc campaign.
Anything else make sense?
