Vitamin D and Vascepa?

I received my lab results from my annual physical today. I didn't have lipids tested because they were just done a few months ago for an insurance exam.

But over the last 5 years my vitamin D levels have been persistently and consistently low. The levels have been 26-27. I had taken some OTC D-3 but not consistently at all.

I've been on Vascepa for about 7 months now. I haven't taken the full dose religiously as my triglycerides aren't very high, and I also usually eat 2 meals a day. So some days I take 2 pills, but most days I take 4.

So my vitamin D levels are now 37 and considered normal. The last check exactly 1 year ago was 27.

Anyone in the know... Is Vascepa rich in vitamin D? Or could there be some other cause? I have been eating more fish (still just average 2 X per week wild fish)
