..."The trial can proceed without the website being updated."????...if that's the case, then you should get on CTTC or clinitrials.com or Carbone Cancer Center and bust their chops about how bad it's making CTTC look every day that they persist in publishing that the "MC-5a" trial is "SUSPENDED":
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780
...and don't forget to gripe about them removing the names of the principal investigators...kinda makes it look like rats deserting a sinking ship or sumthin'...
..."When I emailed him, he said..."???...that's nice...did he bother to explain why his name and Renae's were removed as principal investigators?...or what exactly the "amendment" is?...
...I don't think names are removed for "amendments" unless the the amendment is that a new investigator is taking over...and I can't think of any "amendment" to this trial that would take over six weeks to obtain...and MOST ESPECIALLY, who institutes amendments fourteen MONTHS into a trial that isn't even REQUIRED except to impress third party reimbursers?...
...practically any alteration in the protocol at this point would force them to go back to square one...even something as simple trying to add patients would violate the rules of statistics and experimental design and taint the entire study, forcing them to start over...
Okay!...so I messed up back when I said the earnings report was due in February!...but NOW it SHOULD be in the 10K due by the end of this month, right?...okay...less than three weeks, say?...anybody wanting to speculate on revenues?...I don't recall Johnnie announcing much in the way of sales that last quarter of 2011...
...too bad GEOMC was delisted or you could look at their earnings -- well, rather at their losses:
https://robotdough.com/equities/na/033030/income
...wow!...they look almost as successful as CTTC, huh?...HAW!!...
...but we can at least look at shipments from GEOMC to CTTC:
http://www.greatexportimport.com/s-geomc_coltd/1384664
...hmmmmmm...presuming that's correct, there's been no shipments from GEOMC for over a YEAR now?...and last earnings report suggested CTTC had what appeared to be about EIGHTY units in inventory:
http://yahoo.brand.edgar-online.com/displayfilinginfo.aspx?FilingID=8252594-1064-125750&type=sect&dcn=0001360865-11-000194
...so it's not like they're flying out the door or anything, huh?...yeah, I kinda doubt that next earnings report's going to be too pretty...
..."Why don't YOU call Mr. Johnson and ask him the questions"???...well, I'm pretty certain I've got my answers -- Marineo ain't now and never has been a "professor" ANYWHERE and Marineo DOESN'T have ANY advanced degrees and probably DOESN'T have ANY degrees whatsoever...hence Johnnie's apparent reluctance to "authorize" -- HAW!! I still can't get over that! -- "authorize" release of the details...
...I was just suggesting that a shareholder might want to interrogate Johnnie a little more closely to see if he can provide some demonstrably true information about Marineo...
...if you review some of the cases CTTC's alleged new attorney specializes in -- things like consumer FRAUD and FRAUDulent advertising -- you begin to understand that the FTC often worries about little details like a company "implying" someone is a "professor" and "implying" someone has advanced degrees in order to promote a product...sometimes the FTC just pops up out of nowhere and asks for PROOF...a shareholder might want to make sure Johnnie has some PROOF just in case...after all, some of those FTC settlements were pretty harsh...
...day TWENTY FOUR and the "MC-5a" trial is still SUSPENDED:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780
...still no Toby...still no Renae...still no principal investigator period!...goin'be kinda hard to do a trial with no clinical investigator, ain't it?...
..."Stan Yarboro Joins FSII Board of Directors..."????...Stan also joined the BOD of Electroglas in February of 2009:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=ayY5fDOSG1Sw
...five MONTHS later they filed for bankruptcy:
http://www.siliconbeat.com/2009/07/10/5591/
...HAW!...yessir!...I'm betting CTTC could use his experience right about now!...HAW!...
..."CTTC confirmed...professor at Tor vergata"???...funny how his name doesn't show up in a search of Tor Vergata's website:
http://web.uniroma2.it/modules.php?name=Search
...and most schools list their faculty in each department -- which department is Marineo in?...cause I sure couldn't find him anywhere here:
http://www.ing.uniroma2.it/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=48&Itemid=113&lang=it
http://www.scienze.uniroma2.it/?cat=39&catParent=30
...so maybe you can call Johnnie back and convince him to "authorize" the release of exactly which department employs Marineo as "professor"...
...and while you're at it, maybe ask him why he won't "authorize" the release of the institution that granted Marineo's "PhD"?...I'm just curious that's all...
..."I am happy to have another attorney join the fight."???...you're happy to be divvying up your shareholder equity -- presuming you are a shareholder, of course -- in order to handle the fees of another attorney?...particularly, of another attorney who specializes in things like the problems "snore formula" had with the FTC:
http://www.ftc.gov/os/closings/staff/snoreformula.pdf
...say what:
"As you know, the staff determined that certain advertisements...make health benefit claims for dietary supplements for which Part III of the order requires substantiation. In lieu of submitting substantiation for these claims, you have confirmed that the respondents have stopped disseminating this exhibit, and have ceased promotion of their products."
...well, that's good!...he helped them confirm that they had stopped "disseminating" their "claims" since, evidently, they couldn't provide the "substantiation" requested...
...then there was him representing "MPA":
http://caselaw.findlaw.com/co-court-of-appeals/1500242.html
...where the state of Colorado attorney general said "MPA":
"(b) Knowingly makes a false representation as to the source, sponsorship, approval, or certification of goods, services, or property;
(c) Knowingly makes a false representation as to affiliation, connection, or association with or certification by another;
(d) Uses deceptive representations or designations of geographic origin in connection with goods or services;
(e) Knowingly makes a false representation as to the characteristics, ingredients, uses, benefits, alterations, or quantities of goods, food, services, or property or a false representation as to the sponsorship, approval, status, affiliation, or connection of a person therewith."
...I think that one is still pending...but I dunno if Claude's results here would help CTTC:
http://www.mlmlaw.com/library/cases/mlm/ftc/nvi2agr.htm
...where it was ordered that the:
"...respondent, directly or through any corporation, subsidiary, division, or other device, in connection with the manufacturing, labeling, advertising, promotion, offering for sale, sale, or distribution of any product in or affecting commerce, shall not represent, in any manner, expressly or by implication, that the experience represented by any USER TESTIMONIAL or endorsement of the product REPRESENTS THE TYPICAL OR ORDINARY EXPERIENCE of members of the public who use the product..."
...the highlighting is mine...I mean, that could affect quite a few of the clinics listed on the calmarett site -- couldn't it?...
...anyway, I guess it's your equity and if you want to spend it on him, it's your business...hopefully, CTTC will NEED HIM for something...
..."What if that link UPDATES the status as active?"???...well, gosh, let me see...hmmmmmm...well, by golly, I reckon I'd have to conclude it is no longer SUSPENDED...how about that?...unfortunately:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780
...yep!...just as I thought -- STILL suspended...
..."...they in fact retained the Colorado attorney to represent them..."????...but why?...why drag an attorney all the way from Colorado?...more importantly, why retain an attorney who appears to specialize in defending clients accused of things like consumer FRAUD and FRAUDulent advertising before agencies like the FTC and Colorado Attorney General's office?...seems a little -- comment se disez? -- "obtuse"?...or is it "abstruse"?...
..."What would you say if the clinical trial is updated and it is ongoing?"???...well, I probably would say something like, "then why is it listed as "suspended" here:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780"
..."Can you explain why cttc didn't issue a pr..."????...nope!...beats me...they definitely should have...it would have offered shareholders and potential investors at least SOME excuse for why D'Amato didn't open his TEN clinics, why Chalmers DIDN'T open his 150 clinics, and for why the anesthesiologists apparently didn't open ANY clinics in Colorado and Wyoming and why they apparently backed out of the deal altogether, leaving a gastroenterologist in charge...
...I dunno...maybe CTTC was afraid of a countersuit?...or something worse?...like maybe motivating the FTC to come calling in preparation of an amicus curiae brief and finding something they didn't like?...hey!...there's an idea...maybe that's why CTTC up and suddenly hired -- allegedly -- that Colorado attorney who specializes in defending clients before the FTC, Colorado State Attorney General and similar agencies that provide consumer protection and enforce laws against false advertising...whad'ya think?...
...regardless, when the ONE clinical trial that maybe could have helped to gain the company the critically needed third party reimbursement gets "suspended" and BOTH principal investigators suddenly DISAPPEAR from the trial description -- suggesting that the trial may be, in fact, DEAD -- then that certainly deserves a press release explaining what is going on...
...come'on, if Johnnie has the energy to put together a PR to announce another hog feeding at the BOD trough at shareholder expense, then surely he could exert himself enough to provide an explanation of what happened to the trial...
...unless, of course, he hasn't been "authorized" to...HAW!!..."authorized"!!...I just LOVE that one!...HAW!...
...anyway, we're at suspension day TWENTY THREE and counting:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780
..."It should be the obligation of every company to issue a press release..."...when the ONE trial that MIGHT lead to third party reimbursement gets SUSPENDED?...yeah, I'd say that might be of interest to shareholders and potential investors...even more so when the names of principal investigators suddenly up and DISAPPEAR from the clinitrials website...
...I mean, after all, if Johnnie can spend what -- five minutes? -- throwing together a PR to announce another hog feeding at the BOD trough at shareholder expense, then surely he could spend another five providing an explanation of what happened to the trial...
...after all, Johnnie IS still being paid to provide IR services, right?...and "investor relations" DOES entail keeping investors informed about what is going on with THEIR company, right?...as well as answering simple questions like WHERE Marineo got his ALLEGED "PhD," right?...it's not like someone is asking Johnnie to do a triple reverse somersault or anything...
...I mean, if I could spend five minutes writing to the editor of JPSM relating my suspicions about Marineo's "MD, DSc," "MD, PhD," "PhD," and about his claims of being associated with Tor Vergata University and his "Centro Ricerche Bioingegneria Medica" in the little blue shack with the pretty red tile roof...and if she could spend five minutes writing back and say that she turned it over to the appropriate individual who would investigate and report back to me...well, gee...come'on...even a decrepit old man could probably type up SOMETHING for an explanation...right?...
..."Appoints New Board Member"...my, my...CTTC can issue a PR announcing a new board member but can't issue one explaining why the ONE trial that MIGHT have been useful for gaining insurance reimbursement was suspended?...what's that all about?...
...speaking of which -- WHY another board member?...I mean we are talking about a company that has no employees, right?...is that correct?...Johnnie just works as CEO via a contract with his PR company, right?...and Despo (or is it "Despal" -- HAW!) is gone (unless he's now the "branch manager" in North Carolina -- HAW!), right?...is ANYONE left as just a regular old employee?...
...I mean, what are these "directors" supposed to be doing?...outside of collecting their fees from shareholders pockets, of course?...
..."Can you wait for June?"?????...was it my imagination or did someone say "oops!"?...HAW!!!...well, don't worry about it!...let's see...the study was SUPPOSED to have been completed by June...but by whom exactly?...I mean, it looks like the study has disappeared from Toby's and Renae's pages:
http://trialx.com/investigator/toby-c-campbell-md/
http://trialx.com/investigator/renae-quale-rn/
...and it seems odd that ALL of Toby's other studies appear to be perking along:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01012401
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00954278
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01013597
...but the ONE trial that was actually doing a RANDOMIZED, BLINDED, and CONTROLLED trial to test the effectiveness of the the miracle painkillin' bugzapper has been SUSPENDED:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780
...hmmmmmm...no, I don't think I'd be placing any bets on June delivery of those results if I were you...
..."the gov website will updated soon"????...hmmmmmmmmm...not yet:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01261780?term=mc-5a&rank=1
...that puts us TWENTY ONE days post suspension and counting:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/archive/NCT01261780/2012_02_13/changes
...but you say it'll be updated "soon"????...whoa!!...watch out!!...LOW FLYING PIGS!!!...HAW, HAW, HAW!!!!...
...of course, Johnnie could relieve the tension by simply issuing a PR explaining WHY the study was suspended and WHY Campbell's and Quale's names were removed...maybe he can even throw in the NAME OF THE INSTITUTION that granted Marineo his ALLEGED "PhD"...oh, wait!...maybe Johnnie's afraid of LOW FLYING PIGS!...HAW, HAW, HAW!!!!...
..."Marineo is both a Professor at Tor Vergata University and that he holds a PhD"????...of course he is!...and the name of the institution that granted him the degree is?...drum roll, please!...is?...I'm waiting...is?....
...well, don't worry about it!...presuming you're correct and discovery has finally reared its head, no doubt the facts will be forthcoming in the hopefully not too distant future...
..."he didn't mention any reduced role in the study."?...did he mention that the study had been suspended?...maybe email him back and ask what's up...if Johnnie won't tell anyone where Marineo got his ALLEGED "PhD, " then shareholders probably can't expect him to explain why a trial so important to the company's future has been suspended...
...hey!...wait a minute!...did they remove Tobey Campbell's name as the principal investigator:
http://clinicaltrials.gov/show/NCT01261780
...gasp!...did he abandon the study?...is that the "amendment approval" that's pending?...that would be sad since his experiment was looking halfway decent:
http://www.calmarett.com/media/pdf/Campbell_Boston.pdf
...although with only forty patients, I doubt he could have detected a significant difference...still, his control looks well thought out...
...but he doesn't appear to be the only one that disappeared...according to an old copy of that listing, under "Contacts and Locations" was this:
"Locations
United States, Wisconsin
University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center Recruiting
Madison, Wisconsin, United States, 53792
Contact: Renae Quale, RN 608-263-2789 rmq@medicine.wisc.edu
Contact: Cancer Connect 1-800-622-5223 uwccc@uwcarbone.wisc.edu
Principal Investigator: Toby Campbell, MD
Sponsors and Collaborators
University of Wisconsin, Madison"
...I don't see "Renae Quale" on that updated clinicaltrial listing, either!...did she fly the coop as well?...maybe Johnnie will issue a press release offering some explanation...I wouldn't recommend holding your breath waiting for it, though...
..."This study has been suspended. (awaiting amendment approval)"??????????...suspended recruiting patients because he's waiting for an "amendment approval"????...what "amendment" is he planning to make in the middle of the study?!...I've never heard of such a thing!...heck, the study should already be almost complete by now!...so will he have to start from scratch?...
...hmmmmm...I dunno...I have to wonder whether something else is at work here...
...oh, they can't be serious:
http://www.manta.com/g/mr56694/aris-despal
..."Aris Despal"??????????????...say what:
"Branch Manager
Competitive Technologies, Inc
Charlotte, NC"
..."ARIS DESPAL"????!..."branch manager"????...oh, someone PLEASE tell me that's a typo!!...at least before I bust a gut laughing!!!...HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW!!!!...
...oh my!...that was a good one!...I mean, it's dated "September 11, 2011" so it must be an error, right?...
...anyway, my original objective was to figure out what CTTC is doing with that North Carolina office since "Despal" has left...or so I presumed "left"...unless, of course, he really is now the "branch manager"...HAW!...yeah, I'd probably change my name too if I went from "Executive Vice-president" in charge of "business development" to "branch manager"!...HAW!...
...anyway, "Despo" does appear to be job hunting:
http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=10297732&authType=name&authToken=L291&locale=en_US&pvs=pp&trk=ppro_viewmore
...dang, Aris, you look like you've aged quite a bit since that old photo was taken that CTT used to have on their website!...Aris looks about ready to do just about anything:
"*Interested in new, equally challenging opportunity/project
*Building and growing an exciting professional organization
*Mentoring
*Location is not an issue"
...good thing too!...hard as it is for an old man to find a job nowadays!...but I don't know whether he should brag about:
"spear-heading the FDA 510(k) clearance and AMA Editorial Panel creation of a new Category III CPT code for a game changing medical device"
...I'd say so far that CPT code hasn't done much to earn bragging rights...ya'know?...
...anyway, it's good to know that "Anthony A. Maniscalco" is still "on his team":
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=101972499846410&set=a.140762722634054.19619.100001009814166&type=3&theater
...Anthony, in case anyone forgot, is the guy that sang the Calmare "love song" on youtube:
http://reflexercise.co/its_calmare_chronic_pain_relief/
...hoooeeeeee!...I remember needing a LOT of pain relief after listening to THAT!...mainly because I fell down LAUGHING so hard I about broke my back!...HAW!...
...speaking of the new attorney that someone else alleges CTTC has hired -- "Claude C. Wild III" -- I see he was the "chair and moderator" of an educational seminar last fall:
http://www.cobar.org/cle/item.cfm?EventID=CM090912W
...and right up there in the "program highlights" I see:
"-Priorities from the Colorado Attorney General's Office
-FTC Update
-Substantiating Advertising Claims, including Health Claims and Green Guides"
...hmmmmmmm...so he's getting paid to help teach about the Colorado Attorney General's office and about the FTC and about "substantiating advertising claims"...and specifically, "including health claims"?...and CTTC has hired HIM as their NEW attorney?...really?...will his function have anything to do with what he appears to know so much about?...well, anyway, I certainly hope they get their money's worth...
...because it doesn't sound like ol'Claude did much for this poor guy:
http://news.findlaw.com/hdocs/docs/ftc/maxcellcnsnt61401.pdf
...$150,000 fine for po'old Stephen?...ouch!...AND he had to "terminate all sales"...AND -- I guess just to add insult to injury -- they required him to notify them whenever he changes employment for the next TEN YEARS...mercy already!...
...and some of the things the FTC objected to sound kinda familiar:
"And finally, a breakthrough study on nearly 1,000 subjects published in the prestigious journal of epidemiology showing a significant reduction in the risk for atherosclerosis."
"My wife is happy to have the arthritis in her hands, elbows and knees gone."
"Here's two breakthrough studies showing remarkable improvement in liver function. Now, why is that such a powerful anti-aging benefit? Because aging is associated with a marked reduction in liver function. A typical adult will lose more than 40 percent of their liver function by age 70 and that age-related defect contributes greatly to the degeneration of the entire body."
...a less formal description of the case can be found here:
http://www.mlmwatch.org/06FTC/Oasis/oasisftc1.html
...say what:
"Cherniske represents himself as a "renowned health educator" and nutrition consultant. A recent magazine article states that he has a background in biochemistry and is a trained nutritionist and a member of the National Academy of Research Biochemists (NARB). However, two of his credentials are as questionable as the claims challenged by the FTC. His "master's degree in nutrition" was obtained in 1982 from Columbia Pacific University, a nonaccredited correspondence school whose California operation was shut down by court order in 2001. NARB's membership certificate describes it as "An academy devoted to preserving and dispensing valuable, established and reasonable biochemical research certified that . . . . is an elected member dedicated to untiring research for the truth in behalf of those served in the field of health." However, the only requirement when I picked up a membership in 1992 was payment of a $72 fee."
..."renowned"???...that's the word D'Amato used in a comment on seekingalpha to describe Marinoe!...what a coincidence, huh?...but at least Cherniske GOT a degree -- bogus or not...so far, we still don't know whether Marineo ever even applied to college, much less actually got a degree!...
...a much more detailed account can be found here:
http://www.ftc.gov/os/decisions/docs/Volume132b.pdf
...Maxcell's case starts right on page 1...but a case maybe more pertinent to CTTC starts on page 230...it seems the FTC had a little problem with "Jaguar Enterprises" devices such as the "Black Box":
"An electronic device known to reverse many "incurable" viral & bacterial conditions, including AIDS, Cancer, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Gastritis, Herpes, Hepatitis, Lupus, Gulf War Syndrome (GWS), & Rheumatoid Arthritis. It delivers a very low frequency (1/4 or 4 or 100 hz, modified or pure square wave), low current, alternating polarity signal which neutralizes viruses and kills bacteria in the bloodstream & organs so they can be eliminated from the body."
...man!...ain't it just amazing what you can do with a little electricity nowadays!...and the FTC just up and ignored all those wonderful testimonials for the "Rife frequency Generator" like:
"I would like to inform you the Rife machine is a Miracle Machine to us, especially to my wife. She has been paralyzed, half of her body, right side, due to stroke, since April 1991. After just a couple of uses, she can walk and put her weight to the right side of her body, the paralyzed side. She can walk now, not yet like the original way before she had the stroke, but she does not use her wheelchair.."
...snifff!...that's so touching!...almost as touching as that one story about the lady that was finally able to play her cat after bugzapper therapy...or was it her dog?...
...of course, they probably wouldn't have gotten into all that trouble if only they had done some BLINDED, RANDOMIZED, and APPROPRIATELY CONTROLLED studies to PROVE their CLAIMS were accurate...don't you know?...
..."He has stopped slandering people by name associated with the company."????....uhhhhhhh....because most of them have quit?...HAW!!!...
..."Total shut down of targeting anyone affiliated with the company."???...uhhhhh...because there haven't been ANY AFFILIATES to target?...none of potatoehead's clinics ever opened...Spero never opened anymore clinics...anesthesia boys must have left "Dodge" cause it doesn't look like they opened any clinics...and when was the last time there was a story in the press about the miracle painkillin' bugzapper?...geez...give me a break!...I can't "target" what ain't there!...HAW!...
..."Stopped slamming Loprinzi..."???...ahem!...I take issue with your description of my critiques as "slamming"...nevertheless, there's been nothing to "slam"...he hasn't started anymore TEN PATIENT studies that won't have results for TWO YEARS and that are USELESS for obtaining reimbursement since they aren't BLINDED, RANDOMIZED, and APPROPRIATELY CONTROLLED...a dog can't chew unless you toss him a bone, right?...HAW!!!...
..."no more posting on his letter to the US navy"?...begging your pardon, I never sent any letters to the "us navy."...I sent letters to the VAMC Inspector General...and what with this new attorney CTTC allegedly has hired -- the one with experience defending clients before the FTC and Colorado Attorney General for consumer FRAUD and FRAUDulent advertising -- maybe one of them hit home...
...with 180,000 shares here...and a 180,000 shares there...here a 180,000...there a 180,000...EVERYWHERE a 180,000!...old'Mcjohnnie printed some stock...ee i ee i oh!...from 2/24/12:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/102198/000136086512000011/cttcs8feb242012.htm
..."Issuable in lieu of directors’ fees, executive compensation and for legal services"????...gee, you'd think he coulda printed up at least a FEW shares to "compensate" shareholders, don't ya'?...
..."What I find amazing is that someone thinks that his "research" on the internet overrides what the client "on the ground" knows..."...welllll...I do think that it's what the THIRD PARTY REIMBURSERS "think" that counts most for CTTC's BUSINESS...and, as I've posted before, this sums up nicely what they "think":
"Literature Review
Randomized controlled trials (RCTs)
There are no randomized trials that compared active with sham scrambler therapy. The only published RCT currently available was a small, short-term pilot study that compared scrambler therapy with pain medication in 55 patients matched for type of pain which included postoperative neuropathic pain, postherpetic neuralgia, or spinal canal stenosis.[1] The authors reported significantly greater pain reduction in the scrambler therapy group compared with the medication control group at 1-, 2-, and 3-month follow-up. While this RCT is useful in informing hypothesis formation, it does not permit conclusions on efficacy and safety due to small size, lack of a sham control group, and short-term followup period.
Nonrandomized trials
The remaining published trials are limited to nonrandomized trials.[2-4] Evidence from these studies is unreliable due to their inherent design flaws, such as non-random allocation of treatment, non-blind study design, and lack of comparison groups.
Clinical Practice Guidelines
There are no clinical practice guidelines from professional associations that recommend scrambler therapy.
Summary
The evidence is not sufficient to permit conclusions about the benefits of scrambler therapy as a treatment for pain from any etiology."
...and opening ONE clinic every 5 MONTHS probably isn't going to do much for CTTC's near term prospects...ESPECIALLY when no one bothers to advertise it -- don't you agree?...
..."If a town of 21,640 with a median income of $40,992 can support a Calmare clinic...????...that's the question that remains to be answered, isn't it?...after all, factor in expenses and all and there's not a lot of room left for $1500 bugzapper therapy:
http://www.livingwage.geog.psu.edu/places/3004308575
...I'm surprised Johnnie or SOMEONE didn't issue some sort of press release, aren't you?...how did you even find out about it?...let me guess -- you were over on calmarett.com looking for those California clinics that seem to have disappeared into thin air?...
..."Kalispell, MT"???...wow!...talk about the middle of nowheresville:
http://www.city-data.com/city/Kalispell-Montana.html
..."Population in July 2009: 21,640"?????..."Estimated median household income in 2009: $40,992"?????..."Mean prices in 2009: All housing units: $215,302"??????...is this like the western equivalent of "Dogpatch" or what?...HAW!!...jeez, I hope the good doc wasn't planning on retiring with the income from his bugzapper...
..."What if you found out..."???...well, I dunno...but I do know that at least ONE patient Marineo worked on was a poet named Dario Bellezza...and Dario died...while Magic, on the other hand is still walking around...maybe if he had never heard of Giuseppe Marineo, Dario might still be walking around as well...
...and I noticed that Joe appears to have stopped offering AIDS treatment with any of his miracle electric therapies anymore...and I presume that's because the Italian court threatened to toss him behind bars if he didn't...
...oh, wait!...I found it!...I was looking in the wrong place for that other California clinic -- it was supposed to be in Sacramento:
http://discoveranewway.com/
...hmmmmm...that website is looking a tad dated, isn't it?...and I didn't see it listed on calmarett.com...so have they bit the dust?...
...oh, no!...say it ain't so!...has CTTC lost one of its distributors?...I mean, not that losing Bangladesh would have much impact on revenues or anything but calmarett lists these guys as the distributor:
Biogene Pharma Limited
86/2 3rd Floor
West Dhanmondi
Dhaka - 1209
...I recall visiting their website before but now just get an "under construction":
http://biogenepharma.com/
...of course, that sometimes happens when companies are redesigning their websites...HOWEVER, I also found that the address given above now houses "Medimen":
http://www.medimen.net/company.htm
...and the boss is "Shafaitul Islam" -- the SAME GUY as announced by CTTC three YEARS ago:
http://www.globenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?d=150669
...I sure couldn't find no painkillin' bugzappers available on that "Medimen" site...darn, Johnnie!...you need to keep shareholders current with these potentially adverse events!...
..."Jusy checked with Sharp Healthcare"???...you did?...you might want to check again since "calmarett.com" doesn't list them as one of the "US treatment centers:
http://www.calmarett.com/locations.html#panelid=Southwest
...gosh!...you don't reckon they stopped offering therapy, do you?...darn!...I bet it was that lack of third party reimbursement that did'em in, huh?...
...by the way, I seem to recall someone else out on the west coast was supposed to be offering treatment...some "new age" RN or something like that...what was her name?...I can't find her clinic on the web anymore, either...anyway, she's not on calmarett either...
...shucks!...you'd think miracle painkillin' bugzappers would be right up California's alley, wouldn't ya'?...why, I can imagine the sign up in huge blinkin' lights at Hollywood and Vine: "Joe Marineo -- Bugzapper to the Stars"...HAW!...
..."Nice couple of feathers in our cap."???...you sure you aren't moulting?...looks to me like the "2 board certified anesthesiologists" may have taken wing:
http://www.faqs.org/sec-filings/110504/COMPETITIVE-TECHNOLOGIES-INC_8-K/cttc8kmay42011x10-1.txt#b
...HAW!...get it?...feathers?...moulting?...taken wing?...HAW!...some days I just crack myself up!...anyway, I'm pretty sure "Robert A. Schlidt, MD" ain't no anesthesiologist and where he came from I sure don't know...and ol'Johnnie evidently didn't think it important enough an issue to alert shareholders and potential investors with a press release...
...hey, I bet a signed copy could be really valuable:
http://books.google.com/books/about/Dall_altra_parte_La_macchina_contro_l_Ai.html?id=KPXqPAAACAAJ
...probably every bit as valuable as one of his signed FANS!...HAW!!!...
...say what Giuseppe:
"The book is the story of an individual experiment, born of intuition and processed outside of official scientific institutions. The author, inventor of the machine against AIDS, speaks of his discovery of the enormous hostility he has encountered in its use. Blocked by the authorities to an anonymous complaint just when the poet Dario Bellezza was receiving to his care, Marineo in these pages try to reconstruct the truth."
..."born of intuition and processed outside of official scientific institutions"?????...I don't doubt that one bit!...
..."the enormous hostility he has encountered in its use"????...well, gee, Marineo, you see, the thing is that most people with REAL advanced degrees are highly suspicious of goobers crawling out of the woodwork telling them he has "invented" out of the clear blue sky a machine that can treat AIDS victims by zapping them with an electric current...
...ditto for your miracle painkillin' bugzappers sold by CTTC...if you had a REAL "MD,DSc" and/or a REAL "MD,PhD" and/or even just a REAL "PhD" -- MAYBE the "authorities" MIGHT give you at least the time of day...but since you APPARENTLY don't have ANY of those -- as judged by everyone's reluctance to discuss the issue -- then you just have to excuse the skepticism...
...no, no!...don't thank me!...really, it's all I can do:
http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=it&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.quindici-molfetta.it%2Fnuove-frontiere-della-terapia-del-dolore_25075.aspx&act=url
...to keep from laughing!...HAW!!...hey!...maybe I should become CTT's PR person, huh?...I seem to be doing more than Johnnie!...
...but say what:
"This technique, which has found widespread in the United States, as well as in clinical research centers of major Italian hospitals, is now faced with the difficult task of crossing the threshold of mass spreading across the country. The challenge is difficult prospect for a product that has traveled the world before returning to where it started, which was designed to bring relief to those in our country has been forced to live with a physical illness as well as with the "slow technology" system NHS."
..."widespread in the United States"???...how about "thinspread" as a better adjective"?...HAW!...
..."now faced with the difficult task of crossing the threshold of mass spreading across the country"???...well, gee, it's only been working on "crossing the threshold" something like 13-14 YEARS?...I reckon they must have really long thresholds in Italy!...HAW!...
..."The challenge is difficult prospect for a product that has traveled the world before returning to where it started..."????...what does that even mean?...if it's traveled the world, you'd think it ought to be a lot EASIER after "retruning to where it started"...
...Leo is an "Agente di zona di Scrambler therapy":
http://www.facebook.com/people/Leo-Camporeale/100000189267538
...but at least Leo looks like he might have a REAL degree:
http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=it&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.linkedin.com%2Fpub%2Fleo-camporeale%2F29%2Fab1%2Fb6b&act=url
...although I couldn't find whether he actually graduated or not...I have to kinda doubt it since I'm inclined to think that most bioengineers could probably make a better living doing pretty much anything other than demonstrating bugzappers...on the other hand, maybe times are lean for bioengineers in Italy...I did notice that the article addressed him as "Dr." and I SERIOUSLY doubt that...
...and his employment history is odd as well...he worked 7 months for Itelpharma...then he apparently was unemployed for four months...then he worked for Lenviros -- a company that makes gas sensors? -- for 5 months...for most of that time he appears to also work for "i.da.pro" -- a company involved in "animal by-products collection and processing"????...well, yeeccccch!...that certainly ought to prepare him for treating chronic pain, huh?...and now he working as a "local agent" for Life Episteme????...
...wow!...I guess sales must be booming in Italy, huh?...you'd think Johnnie would've said something about it, wouldn't you?...oh, wait!...I forgot!...he's probably out getting measured for an orange jumpsuit and manacles!...HAW!!...
..."150 share down tick? Really? Manipulation?"????...I dunno...could be...hey!...maybe you ought to call up what's his name -- Kocherans? -- CTTC's distributor out in Utah...I hear he's got some experience in that area...
...some days I am just too nice...but seeing as how Johnnie doesn't seem too interested in exerting himself to issue product press releases right now, I guess I'll just have to jump in and note this show exhibiting the bugzapper:
http://www.dothealth.com/exhibitions/arabhealthonline/directory.aspx?d=The%20Mediterranean%20For%20Technology%20&%20Trading
...where it says:
"The Mediterranean for Technology and Trading (MTT) is commercializing innovative products and technologies. MTT is the licensed MENAT distributor by the Competitive Technologies (CTTC) of the non-invasive Calmare® pain therapy medical device, which incorporates the biophysical "Scrambler Therapy™" technology developed in Italy by CTTC's client, Professor Giuseppe Marineo to treat neuropathic pain, including cancer pain. Contact Person: Omar K. Kassab Mails : calmare@mtt-int.com Website :www.calmarett.com Telephone : +96171102400 / +21696987800"
...ohhh, there's that "professor" Marineo again...I keep looking but no one else on the planet seems to be aware of Marineo EVER being a professor ANYWHERE...
...and forget about looking for "mtt-int.com"...al you get is a redirect to "calmarett.com"...
...I couldn't find anything about "Omar K. Kassab" (the "contact person")...however, "mtt-int.com" is registered to:
"AZZOUZ OUSSAMA
Rue Du Lac De Constance,
Tunis, 1053
TN
+216.98812999"
...a decent looking sort:
https://plus.google.com/103307186413492795458/about
...tsk, tsk -- he's a smoker:
http://www.myspace.com/valentino2gta
..."valentino" isn't a conceit; it's his middle name:
http://www.facebook.com/CalmarePainTherapy
...that site includes pictures from the trade show...they had an aquarium in the booth???????...ooooooookay!...don't look too busy though...
...anyway, "valentino" is the "communication manager":
http://www.linkedin.com/pub/oussama-azzouz/37/600/1a4
...his former employers appear to have been just telemarketing firms...I couldn't find out anything else about "MTT"...I wonder how many painkillin' bugzappers they ended up selling?...I guess not many if Johnnie isn't bragging, huh?...
...regardless, you'd think Johnnie would at least let people know about these things, wouldn't you?...maybe he's preoccupied thinking about other things...like orange jumpsuits, for example?...or maybe learning the steps to the "chaingang dance"?...
..."Yes, very well for CTTC"???...are you sure about that?...that was your answer way back when I asked "have you heard anything about how the lawsuit against the American Arbitrator's Association is going?"...
...I mean, everyone knows how the Nano arbitration farce turned out -- Nano walking away with $775,000 and CTTC shareholders getting stuck with OVER $650,000 in legal costs...
...so has the suit against the AAA just evaporated?...
..."Not at all true. Not even a little true. In fact- totally FALSE."????...awwwww, now...come' on...admit it...I was right, wasn't I?...ya'remember?...the part about:
"the reimbursers CLEARLY STATE they want valid scientific evidence consisting of RANDOMIZED, BLINDED, and APPROPRIATELY CONTROLLED STUDIES"
...which turned out to be almost EXACTLY what blueregence BC/BS said about "scrambler therapy" here:
http://blue.regence.com/trgmedpol/medicine/med143.html
...NOW wait for it............wait for it.......................any second now!................................HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW, HAW!!!!...
..."I am disgusted by cttc CEO John Johnson"???...as are many others no doubt...
..."There can be no reason as to why he has not responded to my emails."?????...why, sure there is!...see my previous posts!...ya'know!...the ones about the orange jumpsuits and chain gang dancing...
..."Johnson, please resign."????...well, maybe he can't...did'ja ever think about that?...after all, the BOD CONTRACTED with Johnnie's business to have him handle CEO duties...maybe resigning would be some sort of breach of contract...for all you know, he may envy Despo for being ABLE to resign...
...I mean, ya'gotta admit, the press releases announcing things other than board changes haven't exactly been hot and heavy the past 4-5 MONTHS...
..."It matters greatly in terms of CTTC's, Marineo's, and John Johnson's integrity."????...amen!...you tell'em!...not to mention the consequences of when the SEC and FTC come knocking on the door and start asking questions about all those press releases and filings and websites and etc, etc...
...which, by the way, I'm kinda wondering whether they haven't already given the latest attorney that CTTC hired -- remember him?...the one with all that experience defending clients accused of things like consumer FRAUD and FRAUDulent advertising?...
...on the other hand, maybe Johnnie does have some integrity and that's why he won't "authorize" -- HAW!!..."authorize" just cracks me up every time!...that's why he won't "authorize" Jean to release the source of Marineo's ALLEGED advanced degrees...
...on the other hand, maybe he's just worried he won't look good in orange...HAW!!!...
