re: "CEO is posting on iHub - there just isn't a upside. "
Nonsense. I think it's great. What I see on almost every board are people complaining about lack of communication about what's going on at a company. The worst thing is when a company goes dark and nothing is heard out of them for months. People who post misinformation won't like seeing a company presence on a discussion board because inaccuracies and errant opinions can be addressed directly. I wish every ticker board had such a high degree of IR access. Too bad it is such a rare thing.

Aw, it'll go by fast. :)
Interesting I didn't know there was a trademark lawsuit also. At first glance I did a double-take as it looked like Anavex was suing itself. Actually : "Anivax is an Arizona Trade Name filed on February 25, 2015." by a veterinary vaccine co.
re: https://www.newcannabisventures.com/supreme-pharma-exclusive-interview-canadian-cannabis-producer/
This is an excellent informative article. Should be stickied or a link put in the info heading.
Over 10X normal volume so far today. There was a buying surge, but it's being absorbed. The warrant theory seems a possibility.
re: "Maybe you're better off, uh, not having the sugery, but taking, uh, the pain killer."
Shouldn't that be "surgery", not "sugery"?
re: "Invest in all Canadian licensed stocks.. "
That, would be covering all the bases.
re: fitx
I thought the Kool-Aid smelled funny so I guess I should consider myself fortunate for passing on that one early on. :)
re: "Because it's common knowledge that Tweed has a pathetic product. "
It is not. A few disgruntled MMAR growers have a negative propaganda campaign going on in a desperate attempt to protect their profits, but genuine customers are very pleased with the quality. I'm also seeing former skeptics being won over after they reported trying cgc.
CGC has a different business model than Supreme geared to maximum expansion and acquisitions. They're going to market premium product and branding in the rec market while retaining med mj through bed but all that re-investment is going to weigh on the share price for a while. When they've figured that they've got a big enough footprint and ease off on expansion, then we'll likely see a blue-chip evaluation for cgc.
Supreme is more internally focused, low burn rate, no immediate plans for global domination. They have the potential to be a powerhouse in the good-quality, good price, and also largest sector of the rec market. They will come into a solid valuation much sooner than cgc, but both companies are good in their own way, With both, one can have most of the bases covered. imo
re: "I see a buck ( CAN $$$ ) easy , . but not many agree with me. "
I don't know about easy, but we know it's possible. Around 2011-2012, CAD was actually a little ahead & at parity with USD. You knew something was up then, when vending machines started accepting and returning Canadian coins. (more of a border state thing)
A lot depends on what happens with "quantitive easing". Looks like it could wander back up into the .80's pretty easy though.
Petro is the other factor for CAD future relative strength. Depletion isn't much of a concern for the vast Canadian tar sand deposits but it is for deep sea and especially shale oil. A lot of exploration and drilling has been cancelled though the effect of incr/decr production there lags a few years. We will be entering the beginning year of that window pretty soon. The daily production excess over demand is actually pretty small but has built up the "glut" gradually over time. It won't take much for it to shift the other way, e.g. middle east instability, more vehicles on the road globally ...
re: "That Cyrus guy might gang himself for selling the other day lmao. "
Yeah, I saw that too on another board. Announced he was dumping 46k shares. Now he claims to still have a large position. One basher technique is to pose as a long dumping with the intention to invoke herd mentality such that actual investors will follow, monkey see monkey do.
Expect some more negativity postings to be back during the next phase leading up to rec. In 6 months. Up from there is going to be epic imo.
To the moon! Meanwhile looking forward to low earth orbit. :)
Frosting on the cake: What's even better for us longtime US holders and buyers on the long tail down, is that the CAD / USD exchange rate appears to have stabilized recently and CAD appears to be trending back up relative to the USD (= about an extra 10% so far). :}

That would in effect, make donezepil an (expensive) placebo at that point.
re: "P&D can be orchestrated by 3rd parties too."
I've started calling that a "Bump and dump" to distinguish it from the M.O. of the classic mickey-mouse scam company p&d . I may have invented a new term here. Don't know if it will catch on though. :)

A look at where you could buy your neighbourhood marijuana.
Torontoist March 3, 2016 at 2:15 pm
Weed is finally legal in Toronto! Sort of. Maybe. At the very least it has shifted in status from illegal to “illegal” *wink*. The real question now is who will be allowed to sell it? To help clear things up Torontoist has compiled a rundown of all the prospective places where pot could possibly be sold. One day. Maybe.
A Licensed Medical Marijuana Clinic
The good news is that you can already purchase and consume marijuana as long as you do it through one of the licensed clinics and have a genuine medical condition; the bad news is “not being high” has yet to be recognized as a genuine medical condition. So until the medical establishment catches up and recognizes sobriety as the debilitating illness it is, you may have to wait for one of the other options.
A Weed Dispensary
These not-quite-legal dispensaries have been popping up around town over the last few months, but don’t think because of their casual skirting of the law they will sell weed to just anybody who walks in the door. They are serious about the business and before being served, customers can expect to answer a number of questions to determine if cannabis is right for them. Questions like, “Are you a cop?” or “Are you sure you’re not a cop?” or even, “Oh shit, am I under arrest?”

I just looked at Acc/Dist chart starting Nov.
I'm seeing a massive share deficit. Would I be wrong to surmise that most of those those are short?
re: "I wonder how this trastuzumab compared with TapImmune, which one is more effective? "
Trastuzumab, sold as Herceptin, is being used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer. (one sub-type) The article does not appear to be reporting anything new in that it can shrink the tumor.. One of the TPIV clinical trials will have patients treated with Trastuzumab (i.e. they still have cancer)
TPIV Her2neu treats a significantly larger patient population Up to 50% Vs 15-20% Herceptin
TPIV Her2neu Is designed to KILL Tumor Cells. Herceptin does NOT.
That is what I gather from my DD so far. Feel free to do some of your own. e.g. tpiv website
Good country, good outfit, good ROI.
What's not to like?
Feeling very comfortable with my investment here.
Also, even better, likely good timing.

re: "Yeah...there are probably 10 layers"
And each one has somebody at a desk with more important things to do, like counting paper clips, :)
This is so weird. HC government agency holding the fate of people, companies, fortunes in the balance, all hanging on some guy at a desk with a rubber stamp. I can see him now. A paper sits before him with Supreme across the top. He picks up the rubber stamp. His hand grips it tightlly just inches above the paper. He's about to act. A rush of godlike power fills his being in euphoric splender. He is poised, taking in the moment, our eyes wide, we're all holding our breath in anticipation, will he finally do it this time?
He looks up, ponders a few more seconds.... "Nah.. Maybe tomorrow." A twisted sardonic smile, "Bwa Ha ha ha ha !"
The slump in iron ore / steel is hurting the most.
Thanks for the info.
Yes, it's easy to criticize but not have anything to offer on how to fix it. Constant negativity amounts to soft bashing and only benefits short sellers. Although, even long term investors are bound to get a bit impatient with lack of tangible progress after a while.
imo they really should identify a market with the least barrier to entry and try to make a sale there.
It sounds like they need a marketing guy for one thing.
fwiw I sent my veterinarian market idea in to the company. :)
I should have mentioned horses as well. Expensive investment and they probably also get otherwise untreatable viral diseases.
re: "Does or did Kevin Cortina work for Morgan Stanley and is he the same Kevin Cortina that claims a loss from the 122 shares of AVXL that he purchase late in 2015?"
Interesting but there seem to be a few of them about. Could it be this guy?
http://florida.arrests.org/Arrests/Kevin_Cortina_4300038/
ANVX has had some unusual trading activity over the last few months. Moving to NASDAQ has brrought exposure to stock price manipulation tactics, mainly abuse of naked short selling, and a financial media smear campaign totally at odds with what early investors know from researching the company. The SEC has been likened to the quintessential pot bellied sheriff in the wild west who locks up the town drunk while gangs of outlaws rampage unabated. Pre-revenue development companies like Anavex are going to continue to be prey to market shenanigans until improvement comes down from the top. The upcoming election gives ordinary investors an oppurtunity to do something about the problem. Many people are wary of a "nanny state". But one place that has no nanny and could use one is the stock market. Bullies are allowed to run rampant and retail investors suffer the results. It's hard enough to make a good risk assessment without the wildcard of nefarious antics by third parties. Private hedge funds are unregulated and some obviously take advantage. In this regard, candidates need to be evaluated based on how beholden they are to big money financial interests and whether they are even aware that there is a problem. If you think everything that goee on in the stock market is on the level, and intend to vote for a candidate based on their gender or hair style, then you will probably find the following uninteresting. Otherwise, retail investors may want to consider a political solution to an endemic deterioration of trader ethics that is getting worse every year.
How is it that things that go on in the market can get so out of hand? Washington tends to handle Wall Street with kid gloves. But I doubt it would be possible to find or at least prove any instance of collusion. It is more a matter of not biting the hand that feeds you. ( Sorry about the mixed metaphors) :)
At some point, the Treasury Department has come to be largely staffed from Wall Street. For example, the previous Treasury Secretary under Bush, who presided over the infamous $2 trillion or so bank bailouts was CEO of Goldman Sachs (a big bank). The bailout had to be done because we were all about to lose our money and possibly starve after shipping halted, and anything else that depended on credit. Which is just about everything because ours and, not to mention, the workd economy, is based on it.
Although a lot of the bailout got distributed in the form of million dollar bonuses to the same sorts who's screwups caused the crisis, it has since been repaid and all is forgiven. Well, there's a teensy bit more regulation. It must have been hard to find somebody, but the present Treasury Secretary only has a slight affiliation with Wall Street. Goldman Sachs even got their hand slapped with a $20 million dollar fine, after getting caught abusing naked short selling. It's been likened to a parking ticket since billions are extracted from the markets through NSS, but, still, most people try to avoid getting parking tickets, The event may even deter widespread abuse a bit.
Now there is candidate tough talk of "breaking up the big banks". Actually, the big banks are in the position of Brer Rabbit, in effect, "Please don't throw me in that briar patch." By seperating the investment banking (hedge fund type operations) from the commercial banking wing, they can avoid regulation on where the most billions are to be made.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/the-big-banks-will-break-themselves-up-before-bernie-sanders-ever-gets-to-it-190710540.html#
The government is beholden to the banking system because that is where it gets its money. Taxes just pay the interest and don't even cover that, by the amount of the deficit, which gets rolled into the national debt after legislators perpetually vote to raise the debt ceiling (aka raise the credit card limit). Spending bills get magically tranformed into government bonds by the Federal Reserve, a special bank with a 1913 mandate, composed of, well, banks, which Wall Street then auctions off to, mostly, foreign powers like China. Belgium, a tiny European country, has also been known to buy a disproportionally huge amount of US Treasury bonds from time to time, suspected by pesky conspiracy theorists of being used as a proxy to support bond prices. But, really, we don't want Treasury bond prices to ever collapse, so, best to keep lookung the other way. :)
How the Federal Reserve Creates Money
http://www.mindcontagion.org/fed/createmoney.html
Well, what about the candidates.
" the biggest liability faced by Democrat Hillary Clinton may be her coziness with Wall Street, manifest in copious campaign donations from financial firms, not to mention several million dollars in fees she earned for speeches given to bank employees."
"Clinton has said the donations have not influenced her decisions "
( Well, why should they? They obviously like everything she has been doing all along. :) )
She has counter attacked that Sanders got a big $200k donation once in his senate campaign. Well, yeah, through the DNC, which he could hardly refuse, from the "Friends of Hillary Clinton" pac no less. That's so she can say now, see, nothing wrong with big contributions, nothing to see here, you can all go home now...
Clinton’s Exaggerated Wall Street Claim
http://www.factcheck.org/2016/02/clintons-exaggerated-wall-street-claim/
Trump is a strange sort who only seems to be disliked more by his fellow republicans in the RNC, who have been trying unsuccessfully to get rid of him, than by Democrats. While he doesn't seem all that cozy with Wall Street (big banks et al), critics suggest that he is a billionaire due to making judicious use of bankruptsy protection in his previously failed endeavors. Basically that means a lot of investors parted with their money and got stiffed. So, in regard to Wall Street hucksters, not in cahoots with them insomuch as somewhat is them, in a sense. Ah yes, what a guy.
Sanders seems to be the only POTUS candidate that might do some good. For example, his proposed 0.5% tax on each stock trade would curtail HFT NSS while only being a minor consideration for normal stock traders.
I stopped reading when you said you respect AF. :)
re: ProDava 3D
They don't seem to have a web presence. The only thing I found so far is a pr from 2014.
Are there any in the Midwest / e.g. Detroit area?
re: Zika
Another reason to hate mosquitoes.
Human testing costs money. I think a safety trial is first step for fda approval. We already know it does no harm but it needs to be made official. That would be good justification for the raise they are proposing.
There seems to be great resistance in the medical community to try anything that isn't a vaccine or a pill. With a drug, they probably could have got a bp partner by now.
I wonder if they could get a dialysis machine maker to partner.
What would it take to get some revenues? The tech has value.
Could a solution be brought up at a shareholder meeting?
If so what would be the solution?
re: "one guy told me the unit has been sitting there unused for months."
My concern as well.
The one picture I saw makes it look like a solid Coca-Cola can suspended in mid-air, but is that an artist's conception or does it really look like that? One would expect it to be more transparent and ghostly.
Need more verification of the tech.
re: "Thoughts? "
Since there is no such thing as price manipulation it must be random coincidence.
For example, Hillary just won six coin tosses in a row, deciding the dead heats with Sanders in Iowa.
(nice of her to supply the coin.)
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/coin-toss-broke-6-clinton-sanders-deadlocks-in-iowa-and-hillary-won-each-time-2016-02-02
She also then went on to win the card-cut deciding tie vote in Nevada.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/card-draw-clinton-edge-sanders-nevada-district-article-1.2538699
just having a little fun here, but you've got to wonder.
MM are supposed to provide liquidity to smooth out abrupt price changes but that power can also be used to set the closing price anywhere they want. Doesn't take a lot of resources in a low volume trading environment. so, if it's not random market forces then maybe somebody wants to hold it at $4.00.
Why $4.00? That's $1 pre-split.
Another misunderstood bio-tech I been following is also at $1 though in this case, unlike AVXL, it isn't deliberately being made to be misunderstood by external influences.
Nice round number.
You know, there's a whole niche in science that deals with the study of randomness...
In conclusion, OK I got nuthin :)
Agreed.
Now I feel a sorry for using the terms "crackhead" and "junkie" . The ten percent or so of people who are prone to severe dependancy on a hard drug need medical treatment, not jail. Meth addiction is especially damaging to health. Using tax revenues from legal mj to help people with these problems become functional again is a good idea. There also needs to be more research into why addiction is so severe for certain people and most of us, not.
re: Canopy future international sales to US landscape in terms of upcoming election (in my previous post)
OK I may have been a bit overly pessimistic about US legalization potential worst case outlook on presidential election results. Recent article notes that candidates in general appear to have moderated somewhat. What I recall about Cruz though is also noted: "He's also previously criticized (in 2014) the Obama administration for allowing states to legalize marijuana". Lately he seems to have remermbered that he is supposed to be a Republican and "supports state's rights". So, less paranoid about Cruz but still not a favored candidate to the mj issue, to say the least. Rubio, Carson, Bush, Kasich, not so hot either, but they are not likely to get nominated. Rand Paul was rather benign, imo, but he dropped out.
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2016/02/21/heres-where-the-remaining-8-presidential-candidate.aspx
re" U.S. not really an option for now due to federal laws, but company expects to operate in other countries within next three years"
A lot depends on the upcoming election.
Sanders - Supports full legalization (For he's a jolly good fellow)
Trump - Weakly supports decrimalization (Pay a fine or go to jail. Feel free to cheer. Anybody? )
Clinton - Would maybe move mj off sched 1 (same as heroin) to sched 2 (Same as crack) So, go to jail but more likely share a cell with a crackhead instead of a heroin junkie. Crackheads have been portrayed as more animated in conversation than dreary heroin junkies, so, there is that, at least. When you have a lot of time to pass.
Cruz - Reefer madness personified- Would ignore states rights and then force prohibition on everyone. Also condones torturing criminals for information. He believes pot users are criminals... Welcome to the land of "Sign dee paper" . Scary guy. He even looks sadistic, but that could just be the revulsion talking.
'
I was disappointed that establishment media outlets like MSN have articles dismissing Sanders campaign as over, when in fact he is tied 51-51 with Clinton. The Dem delegate process is rather inscrutable if not misleading. Apparently, the author of the article below is one of the few people who understands it.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/king-sanders-campaign-alive-media-reports-article-1.2540378
"IF YOU FAIL TO DEFEND THIS PROCEEDING, JUDGEMENT MAY BE GIVEN AGAINST YOU IN YOUR ABSENCE AND WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE TO YOU. [...] "
It does say "may". Not necessarily automatic. So who makes the next move? Maybe there are court records we don't have access to?
Could this be hush because of it being a material development yada yada akin to insider information that would require a stock halt and pr or something. One would think PN would at least try to knock down the assessed value of the plants even if they concede guilt (negligence seeming pretty obvious here).
Found a movie to watch while waitiing for HC to issue Supreme'e LP license. Don't worry, it's been thoroughly checked frame by frame and certified to not contain any offending material. Of course, for those of us who have been forced to grow accustomed to HC's pace of action, it goes by pretty fast in comparison.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/01/27/paint_drying_classification/
Fortuneately a sequel is being planned that mirrors HC's licensing process in more depth.
