The word "scam" has serious connotations and should not be used lightly.
"Scam" is a synonym of the term/concept of a "confidence trick." The definition given here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confidence_trick
Posters are entitled to their opinions.
I would like to see, however, that if someone has an opinion, they can back it up with some specifics, not generalities.
There's a photo of the CPOW plant in the I-Box.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
This is a paid Google ad.
I believe if you Google just about any OTC ticker you will get the same result.
Try it.
This is what I would call a "mystery sandwich". There's a tease - find out WHY such and such - you want to know why, so you click on it. Goes to a company that tries to get your email address.
This particular ad has nothing to do with CPOW - I mean it is not a targetted attack.
Believe me, there will be some efforts to discredit, however.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I for one will be applying this axiom this morning.
9. The Morning Patience Axiom
The first hour of the market is "amateur hour." With most first-hours on hot issues, it'll either be extreme bid whackage which will cause some panic selling which will create some excellent buying opportunities later in the morning OR it will be extreme ask slappage which will lead to a pullback around lunchtime. I hardly ever buy during the first hour of the trading day, and I'd venture to say 80-90% of the time that decision has paid off. I'd rather watch a few missed opportunities than be stuck in a bunch of "apparent" ones.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Yep - there are 2 of them. One is in PA and one is in AL.
Posters should make sure they link to the right one if they post a link.
Thanks Palms.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you Angel for your contributions to the CPOW board.
Shorty has been active on CPOW since day 1.
Some of these days, the short volume is 1/4 to 1/3rd the total volume of CPOW.
Someone earlier was trying to downplay the shorting, saying the listed short interest was pretty low.
Remember, for shorty to win, the stock has to go down.
Here's what I have compiled (below). This is from:
http://regsho.finra.org/FORFshvol20110131.txt (you have to change the date each day to get the daily short volume).
I cut and pasted the data into a .txt file. I did a Find/Replace to get rid of the | symbol and replace it with a comma. I was trying to figure out how to make this into a .csv or .xls file and add up the total of the shorting. I haven't been able to figure it out. If anyone can put together an .csv or .xls file on this, I would like that.
If there is good reaction to the news on the PR just issued, will the shorts get squeezed? Which side of the CPOW trade is right?
Good luck to CPOW investors.

Go CPOW.
Eagle Biodiesel (subsidiary of Alabama Bio Energy) is listed at:
http://biodieselmagazine.com/plants/view/1966
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Like you, I also tried to get the share structure.
The TA is gagged.
For now, what I have from the Prospectus (Authorized Shares) and Bloomberg.com (Outstanding, Float) is:
Authorized shares: 1,000,000,000.
Outstanding Shares: 240,078,000.
Float: 183,083,000.
This would mean:
Restricted Shares: 56,995,000.
I'd like to see CPOW reduce the float.
I hope not either. We will see.
Please do me a favor (I'm not singling you out Red) and put an asterisk in in place of one of the letters of any other stock that gets mentioned off-handedly on this board.
This board is about CPOW - technically no other stock should be mentioned or referenced but I will allow it if it seems relevant(in this case making a comparison) providing one letter is substituted.
Like so:
KA*X
Maybe your other stock will go back up Red. Not sure I never looked at that one before.
Good luck to you.
I am not going to follow CPOW too much intraday. At least I am trying not to.
I have bought as much as I can right now and am holding.
I notice I-Hub does not have the latest press release posted. I sqwawked the last time this happened. Can someone else contact an Admin? Thanks.
Honestly Palms, nothing personal. I wish you good luck with your investments. It doesn't seem like CPOW is one of them.
When it comes to money, I have too little of it to joke around. I have shares in this company (CPOW).
Boy JimmyRich you ARE rich. That's a healthy investment in CPOW.
Good luck to you and all CPOW investors.
Tonight I will put together whatever I can find on the Alabama company and post it to the I-box.
If anyone else has anything feel free to bring it to the message board. I can always link to your message in the I-Box.
Angelinvestor if you are still around, try to do what you did for me on the Google Street View of CPOW with this Alabama company.
I've been to Alabama, several times - for weeks on end, and there are all kinds of burgeoning businesses there. Don't let anyone tell you it's all trailer parks and Waffle Houses. I can see that now. "CPOW is a barn and the Alabama place is in a trailer park" - lol.
Check out sometime pictures of the Hyundai plant down there. I have driven past it many times. Pictures cannot begin to describe the sheer immensity of that place.
http://www.hmmausa.com/
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Do whatever you feel is right and legal to carry out your due diligence. Not trying to discourage that, just urging caution in not overstepping.
Good luck to all CPOW investors.
Opening bell tomorrow 9:30am EST.
Be there.
Again a major stretch.
Do you really think the company (CPOW) put out a press release that they are bringing a doctor onto their board has anything to do with anonymous posters posting on a message board?
I am sure they rushed to find a doctor and especially this one since he appears to be a veterinaian - NOT. Look at his creditials again. Nothing to do with the blackleg red herring.
There are maybe 20-25 people looking at this board. If that. I wonder what percentage of total investors this represents. Beyond negligible.
Go CPOW.
You mean you want to know what Ken Kunz has produced in the few short weeks since the announcement?
As I mentioned recently, the next financials we will see will likely be in mid-March unless they get them sped up. That would be a 10Q for the 3rd Quarter.
I think we can wait until then to let Mr. Kunz do his job.
I am thinking it might be borderline for someone to call him directly and ask for sales figures or "how it's going". I am not sure but trying to get that sort of data directly without waiting for company issue seems like it could get into insider-trading issues.
Maybe I am wrong but I advise caution.
Due diligence is one thing. Getting proprietary data and trying to use it to predict where a stock is headed is another.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
At the end of the day, we are discussing CPOW here and just one aspect of CPOW business, which is livestock feed.
In my mind, if Ken Kunz is getting sales and business for CPOW then I don't care where he gets his mail or if he has an office in the biggest highrise building in Regina or not.
Gildersleeve - thank you for doing due diligence. This is helpful.
Keep at it.
Gildersleve, thanks.
I thought I had brought to the board earlier the data on Ken Kunz I had found.
He started Western Transaction. He's a real person. See picture and article in the I-Box. There's a link to a news article about the company up there too.
He is operating independently, working with CPOW.
I confirmed that an in email with the CEO.
This is rural Canada. Selling feed to farmers. Don't expect a fancy office. A good salesman does not need an office, he needs to KNOW people and be able to sell. This guy has been around for while in the business.
Someone else (see earlier posts) called Western Transaction and confirmed the story.
The Better Business Bureau is not who you need to contact if you are still concerned about this (I am not). As you pointed out, registration with BBB is optional. Same with the Chamber of Commerce.
If you want/need to have a paper trail on Ken Kunz, he has to be filing some kind of financial reports, permits, etc. with someone.
Yeah I noticed that too.
Thanks Eagle.
I wish I had level 2. I will have to break down and pay for it, but I was kind of hoping I could find an assistant moderator to help us out with that.
Stated as fact, not opinion.
I am missing something here. Or maybe not.
Is someone implying because some canola being imported to China had blackleg disease that the Chongquin Grain Group - CPOW joint venture won't go through?
Boy that is a stretch.
#1 CGG is going to be importing the OIL - the cooking oil - not the canola meal itself. Am I the only one that sees WHY they would want to do this? All the more reason TO DO IT if there has been some disease problem with the meal -- don't bring the meal over. PROCESS it in Canada and ship over the oil.
#2 Someone has already posted articles on here that this problem has been less of a problem and Canola futures are up.
Thank you Briarhopper.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Um yeah I'd say so.
But gives anyone an opportunity to get in under .15 if they want.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Good morning skyki.
I already replied to you once on this but I have done a little more digging.
On the Canola Concil of Canada, this appears to be some kind of marketing collective or lobbyist group representing the interests of Canola growers and such. IT IS NOT A GOVERNMENT AGENCY. I love how they use the word "COUNCIL" in their title - in Commonwealth countries, the word "council" has a certain official connotation. This is similar to how some front groups use the word "national" in their title in the United States as if they were part of the US government. They have a trade publication, keep statistics, study trends and such. They don't have an About Us link - that's usually a sign. As I suspected some of the people involved with the Canola Council of Canada are CPOW's competition. Here's data on their board of directors and executive council:
http://www.canolacouncil.org/ccc_board.aspx
As someone that believes in natural medicine and alternative health, my hair stands on end with some of the company names on there. We are talking about major conglomerates involved in genetically modifying the food supply. I'm not going to say anymore - people can do their own research and this will quickly go off-topic.
While doubtlessly the companies represented on the board of the CCC would have a vested interest in preventing Chongquin Grain Group from establishing a beachhead in Canada, I am not sure they could stop this.
Chonguin Grain Group is state-owned. Let's repeat that. Chongquin Grain Group is state-owned. As such, it had a little force of its own behind it.
As for the legality of Chinese JVs in Canada, I think there are some postings on this earlier in the post stream that I saw. But here's an article related to a similar JV:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/06/24/encana-cnpc-idUSN2419812020100624
Good luck to all CPOW investors.
IMHO this goes back to the definition of Joint Venture that I posted earlier.
CGG n-e-e-d-s a company like CPOW to be able to do what the plan is.
Read through this and let me know if it becomes any clearer for you.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_venture
For me, this is why a JV and not a buyout.
Thinking this over more, I figure there will be some chinese investors that would want to buy CPOW stock if this comes together...
Depends on your definition of "few."
Not trying to argue with you, but the 10Q filing for Aug, Sep, Oct 2010 was issued 15 December. That's 6 weeks from the end of the 2nd Quarter.
The 3rd Quarter ended 2 days ago on 31 Jan 2011.
If it's another 6 weeks that puts us into Mid-March. For me that is not a few weeks. It is a month and a half and close to the date that the JV plans have to be solidified.
I just want investors on that board to clearly understand the time frames here for the financials. That being said - see below on my opinion about current financials.
If CPOW can get the accounting & the filings done earlier that would be nice. But this does take a little time whether a company is large or small.
IMHO if there is good news on the potential Chinese JV or any of the plays I have mentioned (biodiesel, livestock feed, neutraceuticals, etc.), that would trump current financials.
The company is operating at a loss. That doesn't scare me. I am not trading this stock because it has an excellent earnings per share. (Are there really that many OTC stocks that do?) I am trading this stock on the POTENTIAL of good things to come. If I can get into a company with a future potential of significantly higher revenue while it is making peanuts, I want in.
Of course all of this depends on bringing planning into actuality.
I believe the next financials we will see will be for the 3rd quarter (Nov, Dec, Jan) followed by the annual sometime after 30 April.
The last 10Q was for Aug, Sep, Oct. See the CPOW News section of the board.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you Palms.
The CPOW financials run to end of April per the prospectus. Which means we should see a Quarterly report soon.
I will try to get us data on the share structure from the horse's mouth (company or Transfer Agent for CPOW).
Thanks, Palms.
You said:
Their current earnings/share ratio is -0.0033.
Can you let us know where you got this figure (the link would be best)?
As far as I know, the CPOW shares outstanding are around 240M. This is from my retail trading account.
Google Finance has CPOW shares at 450M. I have no idea where that comes from. Doesn't match anything I can find.
Yahoo Finance -- I cannot even find the figure on there for outstanding shares but they have all kinds of other statistics for the company. We already know that Yahoo finance has inaccurate data about corporate officers.
Bloomberg agrees with my retail trading account 240M. And gives a FLOAT of 183M. I just happened to check Bloomberg earlier today and it was the first place I had seen anything that indicated there were restricted shares.
Definition of Float:
What Does Float Mean?
1. The total number of shares publicly owned and available for trading. The float is calculated by subtracting restricted shares from outstanding shares.
A lot has happened with CPOW since the last financials.
So the CPOW earnings/share ratio is not going to be all that accurate IMHO until we know a) CPOW share structure. b) current (or at least more recent) CPOW financials.
Good luck to all CPOW investors.
Thanks jkl146.
You have the data that the CPOW annual report is coming out in the next 2 weeks or so from where?
When you say annual report are you talking about a report for CPOW shareholders separate from the annual financials?
I may have missed something.
But per the prospectus:
Effective with the execution of our reverse merger on April 29, 2010, we changed our fiscal year end from June 30th to April 30th.
http://www.otcmarkets.com/edgar/GetFilingHtml?FilingID=7616303
Let us know.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I am holding.
And I bought a little more today. Very little.
I have white knuckles and I am sweating. No use in pretending I do not have a range of emotions connected to this. I would not be able to sit around a poker table with some of you. We are basically betting on whether KATX is going to deliver on its promises or not. I am betting they will. Like everything else in life, whatever happens I will learn from it.
I think we should get used to this level of volume, my opinion, pending of course news and/or financials.
I am holding.
.005 down at the close. But did anyone else notice this thing nose dive down to .14-something and then shoot right back up there in the last part of the day?
Thank you, Go.
Once again, the plays for CPOW stock, IMHO.
a) Cooking oil.
Watch for news and progress on the Chinese deal between CPOW and Chongquin Grain Group. The news articles on this are still trickling out - I have seen 2 or 3 in the past few days and have tried to post them as I see them, as have others.
IF it comes together, this in itself could have all kinds of effects on the canola industry in Canada. Remember, basically this would allow a Chinese Company to compete in Canada with the established conglomerates. See the definition of Joint Venture (JV) here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_venture
b) Biodiesel.
Some good possibilities here. Potential demand is big. Pressure of rising oil/gas prices could accelerate demand. Need to hear more about what the company is doing in this arena. A potential JV with another company working in the biodiesel sector would be awesome. Possibly government grants could be applied for and gotten to develop biodiesel production lines and technology.
c) Lubricants, gun oil, etc.
More possibilities under CPOW's MOPO brand of products. Gun sales increasing in the U.S. - heavy push back against gun control efforts. There's a market. A lot of lubricants being sold are petroleum based. Price of petroleum going up -- well this opens markets for lower cost lubricants.
d) Neutraceuticals.
CPOW announced efforts to get into this market. Demand is there for low cost and effective beauty products. More possibilities to develop.
e) Feed stock.
CPOW enlisted Ken Kunz with decades of experience and communication lines and contacts to livestock farmers of the region. Sales potential there and possibly branching out to other areas if product quality is good and price is right.
Someone once said to me something along the lines of: a company either finds and fills a demand for something and gets paid for it or it doesn't.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you for this skyhawk66.
Good luck to you Gildersleeve.
If outside this CPOW board you find something you would like to bring to our attention, please bring it to us when you have it.
Thank you Lightbeam.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you Qtip. I learned something there.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Some of these CPOW market maker bid/ask spreads are interesting.
