Today's Short Volume data:
20110211|CPOW|584674|1907458|O
This is approx 30.65%.
Time for buyers to get in there and get those cheapies.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I just got an "Out of Office" reply from Mike Shenher. Says he is out of the country right now.
I guess we could speculate where he is right now. Alabama visiting the crushing plant?
Good luck to CPOW investors.
A good assessment.
Good luck to you rubber duck and GLTA KATX investors.
That's one piece of good news.
Now - let's get a GOOD press release from KATX and kick back and enjoy the weekend.
Good luck to KATX investors.
Me likey.
Someone was told last week a PR will be out this week.
We SHOULD here today if that was correctly stated and relayed.
Good luck to KATX investors.
IMHO the decrease in short interest = an increase in positive investor sentiment.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
We have the answer to that now.
This sell caused others and well, we saw what happened.
Now would be a nice time for the company to buy back some shares and reduce the float.
Or push through one of those JVs.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thanks for the heads up JimmyRich.
That does explain a few things for me. I could not figure out why this stock would go down to 11 cents on what was actually concrete news. People hired is something that is concrete, whereas we are still in WHAT IF mode with the other news (Joint Ventures, etc.).
Good luck to you.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you for this BigOwl.
GLTA KATX investors.
Thank you, Stingray. Nice post. Go KATX.
Bravo Aargus on your post.
The only people who know what is going on are the corporate officers of KATX. Not anonymous posters with their opinions on a message board.
The company will issue news soon enough and we'll take it from there.
Good luck to KATX investors.
Bless you only_katx.
It can't be much longer now before we have results.
GLTA KATX investors.
The operative word is "looks like."
Could be a short sale.
I will check the short volume after hours tonight.
I say if anyone believes in this company, use this as a buying opportunity. It's back up already to .118 and I would personally be surprised if we close below .12 today.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
I am not sure. But if they do buy with shares, this could possibly REDUCE the float which is a good thing for CPOW investors.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Last chance, in my opinion, to get this stock at a cheap price. Looks like it's been taken down to 11 cents now with a volume like 1/2 the volume as yesterday at this time.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
15 minutes to opening bell. We'll find out soon enough where we are at and where this is headed today. Hopefully UP.
Good luck to KATX investors.
Your first line "Marry CPOW Now!" really caught my attention.
Thanks for finding this Invisible.
Looks like a well-rounded guy and I am glad to see they are adding executives to the CPOW team.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thanks sespears.
I am kind of hoping CPOW will uplist from the pinks. Might take awhile but I am hoping to see them move in that direction. Another pink I am in got an IR firm as part of a step to uplisting.
Yes, hopefully one of the new appointees will take over IR functions meanwhile.
Good luck to you sespears and all CPOW investors.
From the PR:
The Bridgeport facility has a current production capacity of 100 million liters of biodiesel annually from a variety of feedstock. The closing date is March 15, 2011.
So it's March 15th, but thank you JKL for reminding us that the Alabama deal is on the timeline and coming up quick.
I see that as fairly integral to the short term plan to provide cooking oil while the proposed new plant is built.
Good luck to you JKL and to all CPOW investors.
February 4 I hope CPOW provided the legal documents to CGG that are necessary for CGG to comply with Canadian rules/regulations
Can you elaborate on this a bit?
My understanding is that the joint venture would leave CPOW in charge. The Chongquin Grain Group would provide funding for a plant and meanwhile they would purchase cooking oil produced by the existing facility (facilities if the Alabama plant JV comes together).
I am not sure what paperwork would be required but you seem to be.
Fill us in.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Opening bell: 9:30am EST.
I guess we'll see tomorrow how the market reacts to the latest PR.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
RegSHO data for today:
20110209|CPOW|131456|2068760|O
Short Volume is 6.35% of total volume.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Alright, I think I have figured this out. Re-read the article again.
http://www.biofuelsjournal.com/articles/Clean_Power_Concepts_Obtains_Patents_for_Protein_and_Lipid_Technology_for_Use_in_Biodiesel_Production_Facilities-102717.html
Regina, SK—Clean Power Concepts Inc. ('Clean Power' or, the 'Company') Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board: CPOW, whose subsidiary, General Bio Energy Inc. ('General Bio') is an emerging producer in the bio-fuels, renewable energy and eco-friendly biodiesel products industry, announced Dec. 17 it has acquired rights to significant Licensed Technology patents for use at its production facility.
The article doesn't say the CPOW filed patents or obtained patents. It says they obtained rights to use the technology covered by those patents. BIG DIFFERENCE.
It is questionable whether obtaining the rights to use a patent falls under the guidelines of SEC 8K.
http://www.sec.gov/answers/form8k.htm
If someone thinks this data should have been the subject of an 8K, send them an email. I have been emailing for weeks pleading for them to get a professional IR firm - I could use the help convincing them to do so.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
No you were fine on that - Brazil has cattle too. They were tearing down rainforrests to make grazing land for them. But I was thinking it would be soy coming up for crushing rather than feed going down. That's possible too. I am not sure what the plan is actually - I am just speculating.
Indeed so.
Good luck to KATX investors.
I am blown away that I hadn't seen this. Someone weeks ago brought up the point that CPOW had no patents. And now I find they do.
Thanks for finding this, Steve5. Good due diligence.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Obviously, they plan to sell the meal to Brazil.
Sending feed down there is definitely possible but I was thinking what would be happening is bringing in raw materials (soy) from Brazil to Alabama to crush.
My speculation of course.
Chongquin Grain Group apparently purchased land in Brazil to grow soy.
http://fdi.gov.cn/pub/FDI_EN/News/Investmentupdates/t20100513_121625.htm
CGG has growing land down there but I don't know if they have a crushing plant there - I don't think so.
What I am getting from all this - my opinion - is that canola crushing will be done in Western Canada and Soy crushing in Alabama, with both oils being shipped to China to meet the demands there.
1 billion mouths to feed. 3 meals a day. Practically every meal requires cooking oil.
Again, I am guessing and trying to connect the dots. We have now 3 companies talking about joint venture - CPOW (Saskatchewan, Canada), Alabama Bio Fuels (Alabama, U.S.), CGG (Chongquin, China).
Yes.
I have a few shares in an algae oil stock.
I have no idea that because I own some stock in CPOW, I will soon be driving a canola powered car.
There are many sources of biodiesel and oil.
Petroleum is not going away anytime soon either.
The world's population is expanding. Huge populations have a new and burgeoning middle class. That means more cars, more energy demand.
There is plenty of money to go around in energy - solar, wind, biofuels, nuclear, oil, natural gas, etc. Energy is such a multi-billion dollar industry the numbers are staggering.
There are hundreds of new companies out there making big money helping to supply the world with energy. Not all of them are public. Here's an example of a non-public one.
Friendly reminder, folks.
This board is for discussion of CPOW - the company.
It can be hard to disagree without getting personal, I realize that but let's all try.
Any questions on this - review the I-Hub rules.
Thank you and good luck to CPOW investors.
Thanks Compgeek.
The demand for biodiesel is definitely high.
Would be good to see CPOW capitalize on that demand, providing biodiesel from canola.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you Gloworm1. And good luck to CPOW investors.
Agreed. And we SHOULD see those CPOW financials sometime between now and the end of March if the company has retained the same accountant and that guy is operating on the timetable he has been for past quarters.
You could try emailing for this information but I am not sure he can answer that. Normally speaking a company's communication line to its shareholders is through a) financials, b) press releases, c) conference calls. Sometimes investors interpret the fact that CEOs and IR people can't answer certain questions to mean there is something to hide. While this can be the case, there are also issues that cannot be discussed over email without it appearing, rightfully or wrongfully, that a shareholder is being given inside information. I would like to see CPOW update us on progress made on the stuff that is in the works. This could be broadly done through PRs, which can include not only the PRs issued directly through the company but newspaper articles, interviews, etc.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thank you for the clarification on this Angel.
Good luck to you and all CPOW investors.
Thanks JKL.
We should see CPOW financials for the 3Q sometime between now and the end of March. The 3Q ended 31 Jan 2011.
Good luck to CPOW investors.
Thanks Eagle.
Good luck to KATX longs.
That's too bad. My real-time quote shows we are back in the green.
Good luck to KATX Longs.
