MosbyOne, are you putting an "all or none" condition on your sell? The only time I ever had your problem my broker told me to stay away from "AON". Never had the problem again.
ukie, if you want to back up your OS so it can be restored fairly fast and easy, you'll have to use either Norton Ghost, DriveImage, or Acronis True Image.
Edit: BTW, Cubbies won again!
lost, I couldn't find a link but I found the instructions on another forum:
If for some reason it is impossible to download the updated version of Winamp, the vendor has informed NGSS that it is possible to disable the handling of Fasttracker 2 module files by taking the following steps:
1. Right click the Winamp player, go to 'Options' and then to 'Preferences...'.
2. In the new window which loads, go to 'Plug-ins' and 'Input'.
3. Look for the input plug-in items 'Nullsoft Module Decoder' and double click it to bring up the 'Nullsoft Module Decoder Preferences' window.
4. Select the 'Fasttracker 2' loader and deselect the 'Enabled' checkbox to the right of the loaders list.
5. Close all of the option windows and return to the main player.
Edit: Found a link:

lost, they also give instructions for fixing the problem in earlier versions. Very easy fix.
crumbster, wish I had seen that PR when it came out. With the relentless bashing on RB and Our-Street covering this stock I'd say there's possibly a couple hundred of million of naked shorted shares here.
Because they have to cover, the effective OS is going to shrink real fast.
The short sqeeze could make IBZT or BOCX look like small potatoes....LOL
BTW, Our-Street's Nick Tracy aka Timothy J. Miles has been the subject of recent SEC actions due to front loading short positions of their covered/featured stocks.
STEH, apparent massive short position in this stock and CUSIP change coming up.
All the shorts are going to have to cover.
yayaa, thanks for that
EVO, QQQ, that first gap up is matched 3-4 days earlier by a gap down. Neither of which got filled. I've seen that referred to as an "Island reversal".
And supposedly in a true Island Reversal, neither one gets filled short term.
IPVO, Ameritrade is telling me 25M shares OS. Any confirmation?
The way I'm drawing my channel, that was a definite break today.
TIA
lowdawg, SWME has a large I.H.S. coming to an end. Draw your neckline from the .53 high in late Oct to the .45 high in mid Feb and extend it forward. That's the line to break.
I'm reading the line as at about .42 now so a close of .43 or higher with volume is what I'm looking for.
Chrisau, you can get virus defs here:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/download/pages/US-N95.html
Grab the first one at the top with 4.61MB. The date on the file is today indicating one of the rare times they offer an update on the weekend.
Unlike "LiveUpdate" which generally only updates their virus defs once a week, this site does it daily during the work week.
lowdawg, if you've already got both cards running a monitor each, you're nearly there. Generally, getting all the cards running is the problem, not the extra monitors.
lowdawg, tried to re-edit my post and got timed out. You're right, DVI/male to VGA/female is what you'll need.
The second link in my half-edited post has the correct adapters.
lowdawg, I'd try uninstalling the ATI package and reinstalling.
For the DVI adapters, ordering them can be confusing. There's several different types of DVI connectors. DVI-I, DVI-D, DVI-S, etc.
As far as I know, DVI-I is the only one used on newer vid cards. Plus it's the only one usually offered in the adapters.
BTW, NewEgg has 'em fairly cheap:
http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?submit=Go&refer=4r00gle&description=N82E1681499950....
Edit: Looking into this farther, you need to check male/female on you connectors. Both "DVI/male to VGA/female" and vice versa are available.

Ruellit, hadn't thought of that. But if it's a dead short I'd think you're going to have more problems than just a slow clock.
Bruce, you can create alot of static electricity with a vacuum cleaner.
I like the canned air approach.
market29, original buy at .038
re:CMOS battery,
How can the battery be the problem while the machine is turned on?
My understanding is the battery is to maintain settings while the machine is shut off.
In fact, when I had a bad battery, I still didn't have problems with the machine shut off if I left the UPS on. If I turned the UPS off, i/e totally cutting power to the machine, then the clock would lose time.
danodog, when you posted, I tended to agree with ya, but with the late day break of .43, I'm betting for another leg up tomorrow.
When I said flat I actually meant those that are about 2 inches thick. From front to back. VGA monitors are usually about a 12 inches or more front to back. My VGA monitors have flat screens but are 12 inches+ from front to back.
Why don't you give those people a call at the website I posted. Explain just what you need and see what they say.
Tell them you've got 2 more vid cards to add when you get it.
Now that I've thought about it, could be an alright deal to get it from them.
BTW, don't go for the cheapest mobo, the mobo is the heart of the system. So I'd avoid ECS mobo's and go for either ASUS, GIGABYTE, or MSI. With those brands even their cheap mobos are as quality as their expensive ones but with less features. There's other good brands but those are what NEOCOMPUTERS offers.
(ABIT's might be good but I'm not familiar with them)
Yes but if you get a custom built machine, you can specify a dual output video card.
Actually it's VGA rather than VGI. And VGA means it's for the tube type monitors, not the flat LCD monitors.
If you're going to use LCD monitors you need DVI-I type outlets.
If you're using VGA monitors, you can use a dual outlet VGA+DVI outlet card with a DVI to VGA adaptor.
I think the AGP8X is just the newer standard thats been around for awhile.
Yes, most if not all mobo's (motherboards) come with just one AGP slot. And alot of the installed AGP cards have just one outlet.
I think some reasons alot of video cards get sold are 1)gamers always upgrading for better/faster graphics. and 2)multi-monitor people adding more monitors.
bagheera, "Can one call this place as well and have one made?"
Sure, but living close to Boston I'd think there'd be at least several closer to you. The beauty of getting it done locally is the service/warranty is so convenient. And fast.
renshen1, yeah a great local shop. After we had that one built, we had trouble with a router we bought from them.
They showed up about 1/2 hour later, tested it and said there was something wrong and left with it. Brought it back fixed the next day.
Doesn't get much better than that.
That's why it's so nice doing biz with a local shop. Plus the components are generally higher quality.
The business I work for had one built there. I've built 2 for the business since.
Actually most common motherboards come with 5 PCI slots. Check the motherboard link on that page. Look at either Pentium IV or Socket A (AMD) motherboards. The PCI slots are the white colored long things in the upper left corner of each board. On the MSI boards (red ones) they're in the lower left corner. Harder to see is the dark colored AGP slot next to the right most PCI slot.
The big computer makers get custom motherboards made with only 3 PCI slots to save money.
Yes it is so yours will be full.
bagheera, you might also check to see if there's any good local PC shops that would build you one.
The advantage is that you get exactly what you need/want for a good price and a local warranty.
For example, here's one fairly close to me that builds them for the cost of the parts.
http://www.neocomputers.com/index.asp?CartId=ACCWARE-14735924FARLQ301&R=1024
Check out the custom desktops on the left menu.
bagheera, you might see if you can get at least one more PCI slot. I've got 5 but one is so close to the AGP slot I don't know if it's really useable.
My main reasoning here is that the video card produces heat to the point that it has a small heatsink on it. A PCI card placed as close as the first PCI slot could easily interfere with cooling.
Maybe Bruce could comment on this.
stock_hippie, I've got one of those Les Paul Special's. Although mine's in alot worse shape.
Great sound though.
OT:lowdawg, make sure your motherboard has a AGP slot. Many are "onboard" AGP's which means they're integrated into the motherboard. If this is the case, you won't have a AGP slot.
bagheera's having problems with adding monitors because her AGP is "onboard".
bagheera, be sure to call Dell to verify that they'll sell you a machine without onboard video. A couple of years ago they didn't offer that configuration on alot of their machines.
re: PC2100 and PC133 memory.
The first is DDR and the second is SDRAM, they take different slots. One won't fit in the other's type of slot.
Beo, thanks, that's a handy feature.
Beo, how do you set pretrade amounts in QuoteTracker?
Chrisau, if you've got system restore shut down and that "C:\undo\backup.cab" is still there, boot to safe mode and delete it.
Make sure all system files are not hidden first.
At this point I wouldn't worry about Quicken.
Chrisau, check my earlier post. Try shutting down system restore to get rid of the red bar.

jgbuz, some trojans won't be found with a virus scan. Try a google search for "trojan scan" for a free one. Here's one I found:
http://www.trojanscan.com/
"Is it possible that all of this crap exists in some restore point?"
Yes it is possible. Go to "start>settings>control panel>system>system restore" and check "Turn off system restore on all drives"
Then reboot.
Gaps, question about gaps. I've always thought that the days trading has to touch the "close" of the day before or else there's a gap.
Therefore I see a gap in GZFX from 9.2¢ to 9.5¢ from Friday to Monday.
How do you define gaps?
bagheera, have you tried a different PCI slot for your second vid card? Also, have you tried disconnecting the monitor from your onboard AGP to see if your 2 cards will run 4 monitors?
Another thing to try is only have your primary monitor turned on when you fire up your machine. After it's up and running, turn on the other monitors.
