I think the AGP8X is just the newer standard thats been around for awhile.
Yes, most if not all mobo's (motherboards) come with just one AGP slot. And alot of the installed AGP cards have just one outlet.
I think some reasons alot of video cards get sold are 1)gamers always upgrading for better/faster graphics. and 2)multi-monitor people adding more monitors.
