The company that financed VERB's receivables is likely asking for their money immediately...and good for them. Maybe there is a covenant in their contract that blocks the sale until the $ is repaid.
The plan is also to have the majority of VERB's employees become employees of SW Direct, the asset purchaser. SW will be very reliant on developers and support personnel to keep the CRM products humming. But will SW provide the same (likely outrageous) salary and benefit package that Rory dished out? Probably not, especially if SW wants to see the CRM products become a profitable enterprise. It wouldn't surprise me if VERB employees are balking and that could kill the deal.
As if there was any doubt, we know why (for the umpteenth time) Mark trotted out his "big things coming" PR.
Won't anyone think of the cleaning crew that continually has to wipe down the walls before the ketchup stains set?
Or is it catsup?
MTG had a PPP loan of more than $ 183,500 forgiven.
I know that it's impossible for anyone to underestimate MTG's stupidity, but do you think she has any idea what communism is?
Do you ever visit the site egullet.org? Your link to the classic menus was posted to egullet some years ago and it occured to me that there may be areas of the site that interest you.
I don't post there, but I do lurk quite a bit.
Biden is putting his name on economic progress, but will voters just drive right by?

I saw some commentary that each sign should also indicate whether the Congressperson of that district voted for or against the Infrastructure Bill.
Here's a project funded by President Biden's Infrastructure Bill.
YOUR Congressman (insert name here) voted against funding this project.
It's a lie. Please do tell us when they invite you back with the $35 offer.
Were you ever a fan of The Office (US version)?
Creed want to fit in with the young crowd...to save his job:
The 8K announcing the asset sale also mentioned (although did not name) a possible acquisition - there is a non binding LOI:
Well, yeah. They can use the excuse that it will take time for the "team" to entirely focus on Market (vs. that pesky CRM business that Rory ruined).
And, of course, the pending acquisition will greatly expand the number of visitors to the Market platform. That according to Rory who has proven repeatedly to be a fantastical liar.
The company owes oodles of money so it's not like the company could sell itself and return money to common shareholders. There would be nothing left after paying off the debt.
Rory has plenty of room in the AS but whether he has the ability to reel in enough suckers to raise capital to keep the train running is a big question mark. Existing commons can be diluted down to 1% ownership.
Oh, and the $1 NASDAQ rule violation is lurking.
Nothing but bad news ahead, IMO.
A bad idea poorly executed.
You're right. Take a look at the upcoming Market.live streams. Over the next 30+ days there are a total of 50 shows. And it's the same sellers ad nauseum. Rory said that he was signing up dozens of new influencers who would be doing shows starting in February of 2023. Such a liar. But we all knew that.
The new addition to the line-up is Rory's fellow narcissist David Meltzer, who is on deck to do his "2 minute drill" schtick with a roundtable featuring 3 others who fashion themselves as advisors or coaches. Every one of them (Meltzer included) is 60+ years old. Not being an ageist here (I'm no spring chicken myself) but trotting out boomers to pontificate ain't a way to attract the younger set who are going to be buying products from a streaming site.
Meltzer is trying to create a brand called Ferocious Buddha. His "merch" consists of various clothing items and water bottles with his brand logo on them.
If I saw someone on the street wearing a $55 Ferocious Buddha hoodie or drinking from a $35 Ferocious Buddha water bottle I would point and laugh.
It's called BRANDING, Janice. All the kids today have a brand. And you can go to their various sites and buy their merch.
Get with it, boomer.
Yes, originally the iPod was just for music, but the Touch model had a lot more functionality.
I still have one. Haven't tried charging it up in many years but my bet is that it will still work like a champ.
You could surf the web and do email on the iPod Touch.
I feel you on supporting journalism. My current NYT digital only rate is $4 but that probably doesn't include all the benefits that you get by paying $29. I'm not a sports guy so The Athletic doesn't interest me.
When the local paper started costing almost $500 a year for 7 day home delivery, I decided to cancel. The paper had been locally owned for 100+ years but they sold to Gannett and the quality went downt he dumper, particularly on local stuff which is the only reason I got the paper in the first place. I keep the digital only which is another $4 a month.
As much as I enjoy the WSJ their editorial positions get me angry.
Their latest is that they say Trump should never be President again but they've published several editorials saying that he shouldn't be prosecuted because it sets a bad precedent.
GRRRRRR.
Thanks for the tip on the NY Times. I'm currently paying $ 4 a month for digital only. I'll consider $8.99...if my OTC stock goes to da moon!
I had WAPO digital but canceled it when it was up for renewal and they wanted to charge full freight. When I clicked on the cancel button there was at least one (or maybe two) offers that popped up giving me a better price. I would rarely access the WAPO site and I figure Bezos doesn't need my money.
Market taking a nice 3 day weekend off. 3 shows on Thursday, then dark until next Monday.
Market is taking on-line selling by storm!
LOL about the WSJ offer. I have a subscription to the WSJ and put a note on my calendar to cancel just before the 1 year is up...so I can subscribe again using a different email address. One year I called them and asked if they would give me the new subscriber rate. Nope...can't be done. I thought they would agree after I told them I was canceling, but they just canceled it.
I immediately signed up again at the new subscriber rate. About 2 days later I started receiving offers in the mail saying how they missed me and they would give me the new subscriber rate.
I plan to do the same for the New York Times, although my WORDLE history is tied to my account and I may lose that if I allow the account to cancel.
And...I've been telling everyone I know to NEVER pay the standard rate for SiriusXM. It's something like $ 250 a year. You can spend 10 minutes on the phone with them and they will renew it for less than $ 100.
The good news is that very little of the money contributed to the GOP cause actually gets spent on running ads, holding events, etc.
Lots and LOTS of it ends up in the pockets of fundraisers, attorneys and a seemingly unlimited lineup of grifters.
Not that I'm happy to see attorneys or grifters benefiting, but it's better than using that money to advance the campaigns of repugnant candidates.
Care to elaborate?
Colorado is one of the most desirable places to list in the USA while Alabama (and its inbred cousin Mississippi) consistently ranks as one of the worst.
If Space Command's goal is to hire and keep quality people (with families) they sure as hell needed to stay away from Alabama.
I paid the fee to LA County to get the Verb documents. I posted this info on the VERB board.
If you are interested, here is a link to the amended complaint:
https://anonfiles.com/b6Oe7b50z2/Meyersen_v_Verb_Amended_Complaint_pdf
The original complaint included a claim that the CEO cheated Meyerson by forcing the latter to sell his shares in the company back for far less than what they were worth.
The amended complaint just deals with the employment contract issues.
Not looking to defend Rory in any way, but if you read any civil complaint you come away with the impression that Meyerson is correct and Rory is wrong.
That could end up being so, but there are two sides to every story so we'll have to see what comes out during the trial - assuming: a) they don't settle before trial and b) Rory can come up with the money to pay off Meyerson.
It's interesting that the amended complaint drops the claim having to do with Rory screwing Meyerson on the shares turned back into the company. That claim was the bulk of the money Meyerson was seeking. Maybe Meyerson and his attorney decided that the stock component would complicate the case so making it a simple contracts case would be much less time consuming and less costly to pursue.
And, you can only get so much blood from a stone.
As a public service, I paid more than $ 15 to provide you animals with documents relating to the lawsuit, which alleges breach of an employment contract, among other things:

My moving on comment was directed at anyone who had money invested.
I agree that calling out the company's and Rory's failures is important to continue lest others get sucked into the vortex.
Collecting Likes is sorta like creating an on-line petition. You get to see whether you are a lone wolf, mainstream thinker or somewhere in between. It also avoids a series of replies that contribute little other than "Me, too!"
People who create posts simply to accumulate Likes, on the other hand, have a constant need for validation. I remember girls in junior high who were that way. Hopefully most of them grew out of that.
As we get on in years most adults care little about what others think about us. That's exhilarating.
If you want to go down a rabbit hole, there is a reddit forum set up for folks to post "Unpopular Opinions." Some people find out that what they originally thought is unpopular is, in fact, rather popular. https://reddit.com/r/unpopularopinion

Trump Rally:
— Ron Filipkowski (@RonFilipkowski) July 30, 2023
Q - What are you hoping to hear today?
A - That he’s gonna make America great again and end China.
Q - What’s the #1 issue you care about?
A - I want Trump back in office.
Q - And you sir?
A - Um, yeah. Voter .. get .. he belongs back there. And the voter fraud. pic.twitter.com/nSEYLWUOmt
Not to be ignored is the the distinct possibility that the two employees will be the subject of threats from MAGA. And, of course, TFG will be perfectly fine with that.
Cassidy isn't just smart. She's extraordinarily brave.
Cassidy Hutchinson had a Trumpworld attorney at first and she was being told not to struggle too hard to remember anything she heard or saw. When she got an attorney that was looking out for HER best interest she was able to speak up.
Someone should offer the two hold out employees counsel without charge so they can save their own asses.
The property manager saying that "The Boss" wants this done may not be sufficient to tie it back to TFG. There is no doubt where the directive originated, but proving it could be tricky.
Every once in a while I will go back to this scene from A Few Good Men
Last I heard, both employees had attorneys that are being paid for by Trump. That creates a clear conflict of interest, IMO. The clear thing for the two employees is to roll over on the big guy. But their Trump funded counsel may be telling them to do otherwise.
It's not all about doing things for these people.
They like TFG because he wants to hurt the people that they want to hurt.
Yes. Adding, "If a CEO has repeatedly been shown to be full of crap, then it's time to move on."
I read the part of the decision that described the crime and the background.
Such a tragedy for everyone involved.
I have a new favorite post on the other board. The chart below was presented as being good news because the number of shares owned by institutions has not changed from last month. Pay no attention to the line graph that shows the share price during the period, which is just about off the bottom of the chart.
Maybe Prince is available in select stores.
I know you make your own pasta sauce (and I should, too) but I used to buy Silver Palette low sodium marinara at ShopRite. It was Consumer Reports' top rated pasta sauce and it's really good for a jarred sauce.
Then, it disappeared from the store shelves (still available at Wegmans). An ex-coworker of mine is a top dude at Silver Palette. I asked him why the sauce isn't available at ShopRite any longer and he said S/R decided to promote their own private label sauce and discontinue Silver Palette.
He promised to hook me up with a bunch of coupons for free jars of sauce, but so far I haven't seen them
Which leads to the question...why don't those outlet stores exist any more?
Perhaps data mining has allowed manufacturers to drastically reduce the amount of overproduction? That's the stuff that used to end up in those thrift stores.
I see that Prince is owned by Winland Foods based out of Illinois. Winland also makes Creamette and San Giorgio pasta.
San Giorgio is available here, but Creamette and Prince are not.
