LOL about the WSJ offer. I have a subscription to the WSJ and put a note on my calendar to cancel just before the 1 year is up...so I can subscribe again using a different email address. One year I called them and asked if they would give me the new subscriber rate. Nope...can't be done. I thought they would agree after I told them I was canceling, but they just canceled it.

I immediately signed up again at the new subscriber rate. About 2 days later I started receiving offers in the mail saying how they missed me and they would give me the new subscriber rate.

I plan to do the same for the New York Times, although my WORDLE history is tied to my account and I may lose that if I allow the account to cancel.

And...I've been telling everyone I know to NEVER pay the standard rate for SiriusXM. It's something like $ 250 a year. You can spend 10 minutes on the phone with them and they will renew it for less than $ 100.
