That's a fair point, but why did Intel spend a lot of time talking up density as a critical component of lowering cost, if there are very good technical reasons to sacrifice density to lower cost?

Not only that but also in the quaterly report just before Krzanich claimed that Intel was having a density advantage. In the same conference he was claiming that Bay Trail devices would be available November 2013, the majority of which would be Android based. This is exactly the stuff that I don't expect as an investor from a company that has a multi billion market cap and this also makes me highly suspicous about any claims Krzanich makes in public. That's really bad style and I would have at least expected some explanations afterwards from his side. I really wonder why the analysts don't ask such questions ...

Krzanich really needs to work on his communication towards shareholders and I hope he'll improve on that.
