In the same conference he was claiming that Bay Trail devices would be available November 2013, the majority of which would be Android based.
If Intel is shipping Bay Trail to OEMs implementing Android and receiving revenue in Q4'13, then would you consider that to be a miss?
I think we'll know in a couple of weeks at MWC if OEMs are ready with Bay Trail Android systems or not. If ever there was a time to launch product, it's during that trade show.
All your ire and frustration may be well placed, but I think it's silly to stick foot in mouth before we know for sure if Krzanich blew it, or if he did in fact receive revenues in Q4 for systems that OEMs decided to wait until MWC to launch.
Unkwn: People keep saying 2013 for baytrail android...
But this article says Q1 2014(note the date of the article)? Intel had plenty of Clovertrail+ designs but not baytrail. It seems like there is confusion but not from Krzanich...
"The 64-bit Android tablets will be released after Bay Trail tablets with a 64-bit version of Microsoft's Windows 8.1 are released in the first quarter next year, Krzanich said. Intel has said Android tablets with Bay Trail could be available starting at $150. The Bay Trail chips already support 64-bit addressing."
