Laranger--I don't really have a feel for the complex case designation per se. I think that if IDCC does convince the court to follow IDCC's approach to take limited discovery on Nokia's damages, then that would be a victory. Again, Nokia's latest filing makes clear that they are only dealing with IDCC's 3G patents and I can't see how Nokia has been damaged since they do have a 3G license through 2006. Claims of damages after 2006 would, I think, at the least be speculative.
