Barge.....Not True!

"Anyway, the fact of the matter is that the two mobos Intel offers in connection to ViiV BOTH include a TPM and both are bundled with Embassy software"

There are No current available Configs for those 2 boards
that contain a TPM.....None!

Barge,
for the record,
I have followed the Viiv motherboard specs trail and your assertin that there is a TPM on those mobos, which are what come with ViiV is absolutelty dead on. End of argument.

IF someone WANTS to utilize the FULL capabilities of the TPM with Wave's Embassy Trust Suite software, which comes bundles with this, as well as with Motherboard D945GTPLKR (executive series 945gtp chipset mobo), then they CAN, but only AFTER the TPM is ACTIVATED.

There can be no DENIAL that there is a TPM residing on the mobo for ViiV with those links from Intel, it is as plain as the nose on one's face.

ALl I have to say,

barge,

What's eventual about it? The Intel mobo ViiV specs are explicit: TPMs are embedded.

without premium content there won't be a need for the TPM, imo. Until services are available (hence the eventually). Eventually, when services are available that people demand that require secure platforms. That's what I meant.

And honestly, I still don't see what you see. I see Intel shipping ETS with mobos. I see Intel's new ViiV will use a TPM. I know LaGrande will need a TPM. I don't see how ETS will be in a Sony, Asus, MSI, Lenovo, HP computer with Intel chips, until Sony, Asus, MSI, Lenovo, or HP decided they want ETS and not something else. There does exist the Infineon and IBM pre-Lenovo solutions. So I guess I'm just not ready to say that Intel is getting Wave in with other OEMs until I see it in a PR.
