Worse, to me, than the hit to your P/B ratio from this offering is the signal it sends. Based on the expected use of the new capital, it doesn't seem management cares about current shareholders.

And if they don't care about current holders, what does that speak about future holders?

It become a corporate culture, and it's not pretty for holders until new management comes in, IMHO. They need to show concern for shareholders or get their parachutes rigged, which is usually golden for them and screws us worse.
