Restarting the browser just means closing out of it and then opening it again. Here is a couple of suggestions you might try.

You mentioned sometimes getting a blank page. I've seen that problem myself but I don't think it's an ihub issue.

Based on what I've read your blank screen and maybe the other problems may be caused by an ad-on. Try disabling all of your ad-ons and see if it helps.
