#67074 RE: promoteGZFX #67070

I tried several times to subscribe and would not accept for
different reasons - address wrong - credit card bad - had no luck - emailed & got this response -----

You can either go to the GameZNFlix website through circuitcity.com, or
you can purchase a packet at one of our test stores. The packet
contains a disc, pamphlet, and code which you will need to insert into
you computer to register that way. The cost of the disc covers the
first month of your membership.

For further information, please contact GameZnFlix, Inc. corporate
offices at 1 (888) 542-6817.

Thanks again for writing to www.circuitcity.com

well, its pretty simple. IF you rent their movies on the gift cert, and you KEEP any AFTER the sub time is up, they will have to charge you on your card.

Its pretty simple, and understandable...............why dont some of you get this? You are venting for NO reason, and I cannot for the LIFE of me figure out WHY you think they will just rent the games/movies with out some type of assurance (ie: credit card) that your gifted peeps wont run off with the goods.

Unreal...................do you expect them to use YOUR card to charge against ALL your gift certs?

If so, you should have PRE registered them with your card, and their addresses............SIMPLE, HUH???!

It's no different than a free run with an online service provider like AOL. They need some type of billing info when you sign up right? After your "trial" period ends, they charge accordingly. But..In this case your receiving a tangible product via mail which must be returned to gzfx prior to your trial end.
Maybe Gameznflix should consider other billing methods.

OT: promoteGZFX, Have you posted a single positive thing in your short existence in our world, I think not? I speculate that you don't even own shares in GZFX. You are on ignore, bye! Oh and if you are wondering why the harsh treatment, you might look at your posts which basically trashes your alledged stock holding. Now why would you want people to think GZFX stinks and is not fit for human consumption??? Joe

promoteGZFX, that is apparently SOP for many subcription services. My son bought me a 3 month sub to be a premium member of Bill Oreilly's on line site. Before it could be activated I had to give them my credit card number. Even talking to a live person they would only have refunded/credited the money back to my son if I did not give them my credit card number. They even said it was because they have to make sure I am 21. Whatever that means. And this was a service where I would not have a returnable product in my hands like expensive game dvds.

They are going to be the ones in pocession of the movies or games, it is totally understandable for GnF to want their info.

I can understand that they don't have a credit card, a lot of people don't use them but don't they have a debit card?? It works the same way as a credit card. I just signed up for an annual membership and used my debit card.

They asked for the credit card for this reason.

Let's say someone purchases a gift subscription.

No credit card information is taken.

The individual checks out 3 new movie releases...or 3 games...or a combination of both.

And never returns them. Even after the subscription runs out. The company is screwed. Out of money. To just shrug your shoulders as a company and say; "Well gee, that sucked." is not realistic. It is called covering your ass.

I am glad as a shareholder that they do this. I would not want to invest in a company that would invite so much possible red to their balance sheet.
