Ajax: agreed...When I used to deal with a full service broker, he would call me and advise me to buy ahead of just such an event. I was really pleased to find that there were no warrants attached to the stock purchases, which might have given the buying institutions an incentive to turn around and go short. Now, their incentives are aligned with ours.
