The same problem that juries suffer from, unfortunately.

they form their opinions based on their initial reaction to to the tenor of the experts testimony, rather than actually understanding all the technical details

Olddog, that's my point and the reason I said: "When you need to explain to a 5-year old where babies come from, you don't pull out Gray's Anatomy."

This is also why I believe that new strategies need to be employed. The system in which we currently try to succeed has too many traps and pitfalls due to the level of competence of those in charge of making decisions and determinations.

We're on the same page; I'm just being far more vocal in my criticism of the management team for not walking multiple paths towards the summit.
