wbmw,

See, the problem is, I simply don't believe AMD on a lot of things. For example, they have misled people to believe that the 8W quad core "Temash" is going into fanless tablets, when really it's more along the lines of a "Haswell"/"Ivy Bridge-Y" competitor, rather than anything ARM/Atom like.

The 2C "Temash" part is the one that ends up in the thinner, fanless tablets, and I have my doubts that this part will be everything that it's hyped up to be. The shrink from 40nm -> 28nm HKMG will help, sure, but fundamentally, Jaguar does not have the idle power saving tricks that the Intel/ARM stuff has. "Temash" won't even support "Connected Standby" in Win8 for heaven's sake!

So, once again, COMPLETELY skeptical about AMD, but I think that if they right the ship, aim for where Intel isn't going (console win = great!), then they'll do all right. There are plenty of semiconductor companies that fit the mold of what AMD is trying to become, so clearly it's viable. AMD just has to not mess it up.

Even this statement isn't very optimistic.

We have clarified this and it turns out that Nvidia hopes to see some products based on Tegra 4 before the end of June 2013.
