Bay Trail will obliterate AMD's "Temash" on a perf/watt scale. 22nm FinFET + more R&D to really hammer home idle power + better marketing so that it actually sells.

Wow, and I thought you were bullish on AMD as of late.

I guess if I could play Devil's Advocate:

- Kabini/Temash may be launching soon, which could put it in advance of Bay Trail
- It represents a shift from 40nm --> 28nm HKMG, which should be a dramatic power/perf improvement
- The improved power/perf would definitely benefit the relatively large graphics engine (some are predicting 128 shader, equivalent to ~16EU at low frequency)
- It will supposedly have single chip integration, which would improve board size and power efficiency

Of course, at the end of the day, it may all be too little, too late.

By the way, I notice that Tegra 4 is also late:

Maybe Bay Trail is arriving at precisely the right time.
