As soon as Kinross found out, they contradicted SRGE's lies, and shortly after that the SEC suspended SRGE, while Kinross continues to trade normally.
"Kinross wishes to make clear that there is no such joint partnership, joint venture or other similar such arrangement or agreement in place, and nor do we expect there to be such a joint partnership, agreement, acquisition, investment or other equivalent transaction involving Kinross and Southridge in the foreseeable future. The statements regarding the value and status of the joint partnership are, to the best of Kinross' knowledge, without any basis in fact. The statement attributed to the Kinross employee in the Southridge news release was incorrectly attributed to him."
Yup they did! Kinross can now basically kiss goodbye to any future plans to mine in Mexico. SRGE BOD has a Mexican Congressman and a Mexican Senator who will be ill disposed towards Kinross and will close alot of doors in Mexico for these Canadian bullyboys! Kinross didn't do any DD when they messed with little ol SRGE! Were totally unaware of the political might SRGE wields in Mexico. :-)
Or Kinross told the truth. I can't imagine why they would lie.
Plainly put, Kinross miscalculated.
This second dividend thing is rather odd. How is it that some received it and others didn't and the T/A has no record of it. Quite frankly I haven't a clue of how this is happening.
