The way I read it is that the license is FROM IDCC provided TO SONY to cover SONY's products.

Are the 3 and 4G products even falling under the JV?

Below is M2M from sony. So why would IDCC be paying sony for "walkmans" and PSP's (if and when they get celluar). Sony would pay IDCC.
