Gordon Chang - he puts a lot of weight on energy as an indicator, but it's not quite clear from the article whether he's talking about production or consumption.
So whether he is or not, he has more value on his side. The market is already telling you that they don't believe the GDP. Where is the SSE? Multi year lows and that is where the truth is.
This is a side note to the banking system, which has serious problems, alongside their real estate bubble.
