VRNG can't be overconfident. Regardless of how VRNG THINKS it went, they can feel good about it all they want to, but all bets are off when it's in the hands of a jury. If you're trying to mitigate the risk, you're gonna take the settlement (provided it's reasonable, of course) and go home.

Thank you Arper. I have been posting the same thing for almost a week now. There will not be any chance of a settlement until Google presents their side of the case. Frankly the only way I see a settlment is if Google's presentation goes nuclear awful lol.

I agree they are prepared for the hail mary approach with the jury. Personally I do not think it is going very well for them. It seems like they have taken a thugish approach to their defense which essentially tells a jury they have nothing. I am sure pretzel boy didn't help matters yesterday.

just a thought...we heard dolphinsmike say over and over again that goog would never settle before they get a look at a jury. A logical premise, and the same logic applies at this time, goog will listen to plaintiff's case, try to pick away at plaintiff's witnesses and then see how strong the case is. If goog does not like what's going on, then they can settle. If they like how things are going, they put on their case. However, price goes up for every "peek" at the cards.
