My key point here being that this is a money motivated conversation and people will do anything for money! Including disrupting, harrassing, attacking personally anyone that will respond to them, and back stabbing.
The good ones don't need to be disruptive.
I for one want to be in a position where I can squelch such attacks. Currently the power of the COB gives me that ability.
It sure does. It also gives you the ability to censor ideas....you may not choose to make use of your power...perhaps others will. Bob's reinstatement argument doesn't hold water as it is after the fact.
The users should be able to police the COB. There is no way I will read a thread if the COB can hide posts from me and I can't see what he/she/it is doing. This site looked interesting at first...but not any more. I don't do well in situations where others think they are better or smarter than I...You and Bob can say TRUST ME...sorry I won't. I do my own thinking.
How are you more qualified than the other posters on a board? Why should I trust you to decide what I should and should not read? If you want censorship power I at least want to see what you are censoring.
They would be reduced to a code as you suggested and not readable unles clicked upon. Such codes might be PA =Personal Attack, SP = spamming etc. With only the SP or PA showing on the message list.
I like it. How would it work with the NEXT function? How many readers use the message list? I always use NEXT and will use 10 at a time when they get around to it...that is if they can solve the censorship problem. I won't be here much longer if Bob and the COBs want to remain control freaks...I know...YOU know what's best for me:)
