You make an excellent argument and I agree in part with it.
Our freedoms in this country need to be protected, not diminished, especially the freedom of speech. A point that I feel you are overlooking is that Ihub was created for sensible intelligent discussions about money making opportunities in stocks. My key point here being that this is a money motivated conversation and people will do anything for money! Including disrupting, harrassing, attacking personally anyone that will respond to them, and back stabbing. I for one want to be in a position where I can squelch such attacks. Currently the power of the COB gives me that ability.
The thought occurred to me while reading your post that deleted posts could even remain on the board they are deleted from. They would be reduced to a code as you suggested and not readable unles clicked upon. Such codes might be PA = Personal Attack, SP = spamming etc. With only the SP or PA showing on the message list. This might also save some hardware system resources.
