The "control" I want to exert is over spam, personal attacks, vulgarity, and other things that are specifically only destructive to the conversations. That is also the only aspect I want CoB's controlling. I don't want them deleting posts only because they think they're wrong. Whether a post is wrong or right is a decision that should be left to the reader.

Zeuspaul,
Again, I agree with your thinking, but will offer concurance, counterpoints, and possible solutions to some of your statements. The first being
"The good ones don't need to be disruptive."
I will go further here and say that the good ones will not purposly be disruptive and in most cases will assist to cease disruptions!
Your next point concerning the power of the COB enableing one person to the point of censoring what that COB wants the board to read! Hope thats clear!
Judging from your posts that I have read, your intelligent enough to already know that when a human being is given power over others, there will be abuses of that power! I view this as an unfortunate characteristic of the human species that we all have to deal with. In dealing with circumstances I judge myself as dealing with them either poorly, dealing with them well, or plain ole out smarting them! If I have a choice, I will triumph everytime, but thats totally unrealistic!
This following statement seems to me to be out of character for you and it bothers me some!
"How are you more qualified than the other posters on a board? Why should I trust you to decide what I should and should not read? If you want censorship power I at least want to see what you are censoring."
Firstly, no one here, (excluding admin) is more qualified than anyone else! I agree that some will act that way and I will have nothing to with them either. There are those here that will prove to anyone that they are more proficient at picking stocks than most others. Even this anaomly travels time in cycles where maybe they aren't really that good at times. For me this is part of the beauty of Ihub.
To offer my view point on your last sentence above. I do not know if the Admin. of Ihub would want a board created for the purpose storing removed posts. If this was allowed, it would be admins. decision to allow these posts to be viewed by the common poster. I for one would not visit that board very often, unless the posts were about me or concerned me in some way.
Lastly,

They would be reduced to a code as you suggested and not readable unles clicked upon. Such codes might be PA =Personal Attack, SP = spamming etc. With only the SP or PA showing on the message list.

"I like it. How would it work with the NEXT function? How many readers use the message list? I always use NEXT and will use 10 at a time when they get around to it...that is if they can solve the censorship problem. I won't be here much longer if Bob and the COBs want to remain control freaks...I know...YOU know what's best for me:)"

This is an excellent idea that is beyond my ability to answer.
I've had a conversation with IH Admin (Bob) concerning the coding acronyms and he informed me that it was being developed into a menu type system upgrade.
As far as how it would work with the Next function, I suggest you take this up with Bob yourself, I think it's an excellent idea!
Finally,
Perspective of how we affect others is a complex and virtually unknown dilema. (Think I need a spell checker) In my judgement Zeuspaul you are an intelligent poster and have much to offer. I think you would be better served here at Ihub than on other message boards. Stay long enough to find out what Ihub can and will do for you.
