#13131 RE: Watts Watt #13130

We need a CEO who knows and understands shareholders because he knows and understands people and can galvanize them. When he speaks, you listen, in part because you believe he'll give it to you straight, in part because his views seems commonsensical, in part because something in his optimism pings right into your latent hopefulness, and in part because he's direct and doesn't hide his meaning in obfuscation, abstraction, clichés and dead words.

Liquidmetal or Liquid Metal

Watts, I'm glad you also were disturbed as to the one word logo.

As you stated:

Particularly egregious is the one word aspect of their violation

I whole-heartedly agree with this statement!

This was also the first thing I thought of when I saw that webpage, additionally the font looks "cool" and the way the blue in the logo flows are also Liquidmetal like.

It seems there are now THREE other "similar sounding" companies/products that are mainstream. Liquid Metal Batteries (the company Bill Gates is a figure head for), Discount tire's Liquidmetal Motorsports, and Microsofts VaporMag case which the speaker mentioned

What is even more confusing to the masses is the similarities in the products (or perception there of) that are being produced are similar to our intended uses.

Liquid Metal Batteries

Liquid Metal Batteries are (as we all know) a liquid metal that has nothing to do with Liquidmetal as it's an actual liquid metal (mercury I believe) HOWEVER our Liquidmetal is being designed and tested for collector plates in batteries... hmmm, pretty confusing!

Liquidmetal Motorsports

Discount Tire's Rims are being advertised along side NASCAR #22 in their advertising and the logo (combining the words liquid & metal into one word 'liquidmetal') is being used with a gun metal blue/grey in their advertising. Visser owns/controls ~100 million shares of LQMT (between personal & owned interest shares) and is a NASCAR owner of the #78 car. We are speculating that VPC may produce superior engine parts to be used in his race car and further speculate that perhaps he will use our Liquidmetal in some branding on his race car... hmmm, pretty confusing!

Microsoft's VaporMag

The new 'Surface' tablet boasts a titanium enclosure/casing that is metallic. In the kick off meeting, the speaker referred to their new titanium casing with a term of liquid metal. Forbes magazine picked up on the similarity which prompted an article trying to explain the difference... hmmm, pretty confusing!

OK, so we now have three companies all with their "spin" on Liquidmetal, and these are HUGE COMPANIES.

Microsoft: 240 Billion Dollar Market Cap

Discount Tire: 750+ Retail Locations (privately owned) and a NASCAR racing team.

Liquidmetal Battery: Bill Gates at the helm, personal net worth 61 Billion Dollars.

And then there is "Us", little ol' LQMT with our 30 cent stock price and a BIG attitude. When I say BIG attitude, I am UNFORTUNATELY referring to us "LQMT Groupies" here on a message board and NOT the management of Liquidmetal Technologies.

We are burning cash and loosing money BUT we have an XVP that's sole responsibility is protecting our IP... I GUESS?!??!

LQMT MANAGEMENT-- WHAT GIVES GUYS????????????

Geeeeeeez, at least look out for MY measly 10 Grand, would ya?!
