I would hope that he gets daily briefings but according to his own words, he didn't know the levees broke until he read it in the newspaper!!!

I'm glad he didn't have an early t-time that morning which may have prevented him from reading the paper!!!!!

Did you ever see those cop movies where the chief gets a call in the middle of the night. After his wife nudges him awake, he groans for a moment, still half a sleep, and then he jumps out of bed, fully awake and shouts: "Oh shite, a horrible thing just happened. I'm getting into the squad car and going to the airport and I;m going to fly right to where this shite happened". Not Chertoff or W or Rumsfield or Condi or Brown. They must not have seen any of those movies.
