Social programs aren't all they are cracked up to be. For example, we have free universal health care in Canada. Sure it's free...if you can get it & don't die waiting for treatment.

Why would they do that?

I can't think of one social program proposed by conservatives that has helped the majority of Americans.

Try the end of affirmative action.

Sox...

Some examples? And just what has fear-mongering (a Liberal's stock in trade) done for us?

The Democrat of today is the Socialist of yesterday, the ideals espoused by President Kennedy and Dr. King are a far cry from the reality that faces the young Democrat. That sound you hear? It's those great Americans rolling over in their graves. Instead of a "color-blind" society, as Dr. King so desperately wanted, we have affirmative action, quotas, and ultimately a widening gap in the races. Instead of "Ask not what your country can do for you.....", as Mr. Kennedy said, we have just the opposite, with people walking around, hands outstretched, saying "gimme, gimme, gimme...."

Some legacy....is this what you want, the Government to cure all your ills? Take care of your every need? Then I suggest you learn Chinese, and take a very long plane ride.

And where, pray tell, have the most recent Democratic policies landed America? Remember, what is happening today is a result of policy made 4-8 yrs. ago. If Clinton had taken bin Laden when he was offered FIVE times, I believe we may still have couple of buildings in NY. And there'd be a lot fewer grieving folks.
