For the Nokia's contract and the subsequent arbitration, I have to say that it is the incompetence of IDCC management. The bonuses paid to management turned out to be not well earned, IMO.
The good thing is 2 members of that management team have gone and let's hope the rest learn the lesson.

Corp's entire argument is based on the premise that Nokia would have negotiated some royalty rate with IDCC other than zero. That premise or assumption is simply not realistic and therefore none of Corp's arguments or suppositions based on that premise are worth squat.
The cost of arbitration was unavoidable so its not worth wondering what might have been under a different set of circumstances. We must make due with what we have at the present time and that is an arbitration award that is in our favor. Nokia will continue to do whatever they can to challenge this award but I do believe they are finally running out of options.
Let Corp waste his time trying to think what might have been in the past. I am more interested in what our next step is. Our emphasis now has to be on 3G.
