Excellent work, Whazoo!

Here's some information from Piper and Laney's report (see my previous post) that might clarify some of the Sinker tunnel work (bolding added). I think they are going to connect it to the Golden Chariot shaft, which is maybe only 150 feet away. Sounds like they are already dewatering the GC shaft in preparation. Also, sounds like the opening of the GC shaft was caved in, but the rest should be OK. This is probably the source of the reports of a second entrance to the Sinker that was caved in at the opening. It's not a second entrance yet, but will be soon at much less expense ($150k) than has been inaccurately reported in other posts here as costing $12M and taking 2.5 years- numbers that got bigger with almost every post! LOL

The Golden Chariot shaft was sunk in the granite wall rock, striking the vein at the ninth level (29e p. 189), below which it has been sunk about 350 feet. It is probable that this shaft, although caved at the collar, is in good condition for the greater part of its depth, particularly below the water level. Opening and unwatering it sufficiently to permit accurate surveying should not, if the expected condition prevails, be an extremely difficult task and should not be shirked. As has been pointed out already, the base of the shaft and the top of the raise are not much more than 150 feet apart vertically and perhaps even less horizontally, if the available data are at all trustworthy, This program offers the most expeditious and economical solution of the problem. Should this development prove the existence of workable primary ore, the Sinker tunnel should be extended to crosscut the entire vein system to the Poorman, since the maximum of economy and efficiency may be gained by working the system as a unit.

Great summary IW! Thanks for putting together the cliff notes. Looking forward to hearing from SH's who attended once they're settled back in from traveling, etc. Hopefully we get some news this week that gets the PPS finally moving up. The drills arriving this week was news I wasn't expecting to hear. New vault was encouraging too. Here's to a new, exciting week folks! GLTA

$38,000 per day(cost)

operating the mill 24/7 right now

So, $14 million a year to run SFMI per PQ. Plans sound great! If money can be made soon next year home run. If not, when does SFMI run out of money. If need more money, who pays? More share financing from current source or from open mkt sales this time?

2-3 million is sales of gold bars sounds great but at a burn rate of more than a million a month need more sales!

I'd like to correct one thing, IW. The guards ARE NOT armed! They have their reasons, I heard PQ talking about it and his feeling is that if the guards are armed, eventually there will be a shooting war out there and he would rather have them use cameras, etc. to keep close track of what is going on. If armed bad guys show up, they are to let them do whatever they will do and the authorities (who are all on board) will take care of the aprehension and any shooting required.

Personally, I disagree with that philosophy. As a NRA Life Member, it's my feeling that armed guards - who know what they are doing - would be a better deterrent. but it is their business and they should go with what they are comfortable with. Besides, highly trained armed guards are probably 5 times more costly than "regular" guards. These guys are on duty 24/7, they will have extensive cameras all around the property and they will be checking out any suspicious activity they observe. This includes people on public property taking pictures of the mill area (Bobby!!! Watch out!!! ;-)

I got the impression that it is going to get a lot more serious around there, security wise...

APPROXIMATELY 42 NEW CLAIMS
There are now about 50 claims owned by SFMI, where before there were only 8.

Are you sure these are owned by SFMI and not PQ or someone else?!... If they were owned by SFMI, i would imagine they would require an 8K/PR?!

This type of info should not be passed around without an official announcement.

DRILLS FOR DOING THE TUNNEL DRILLING TO ARRIVE NEXT WEEK

Why are a select few privy to this info?!

Why wont they put any of these major claims in a PR?!... They pay big money to promoters, but wont release important details?!?!... If they want to move the stock, they are going about it all wrong. Give us the MEAT and forget about the low budget TV promoters... smart money does not buy based on crappy TV shows, they buy based on SOLID FACTS and EVIDENCE.

... but then again, its possible that these claims at the SHM are just hype and they cant be released in news... It sure does seem like the best info never comes in the press releases
