I doubt the company is spending their limited available funds wrecklessly if we assume they didn't draw from the approximately $48MM available from the shelf. The purchases in the last few weeks, some of which may not have been finalized (Mali?), are, IMO, part of a well thought out plan to make the company more attractive to a potential suitor. Perhaps they don't care that cash may have reached dangerously low levels if they're very confident that an offer will be made soon for the company or some of its assets. All IMO.
