There is certainly a lot to see in BC as well for sure although I haven't been to Alberta. Hope she was able to get out and about to see some of BC's more beautiful natural scenery the world has to offer. Love every time we go up there, including the island.
Your itineraries/travel destinations match well with at least potential memorable fishing trips to be part of the mix. And visiting the kids as a destination goal/part of the plan makes it that much more worthwhile :-) Enjoy it and good fishing to you out there.

I hear the trout in New Zealand rivers are often very large but also usually clear water and wary.
June is fast approaching, enjoy your times traveling and on the water. You will surely be surrounded by some inspiring natural settings with those destinations. Is wading wet in shallow rivers an option in New Zealand? Always enjoyed that around here as long as hypothermia and/or blue legs and feet were out of the equation. No idea what it would be like in New Zealand.
