#55750 RE: Zeev Hed #55745

Zeev:

I still maintain the tech will not be the place for INVESTORS (as opposed to traders)to be when a genuine bull market begins unless the NAZ drops well below the October lows. The leaders in one bull never lead the next one -- especially when they are still very expensive.

Right now it looks like emerging markets may play a leadership role in the next bull. Perusing the performance of the diversified funds offered by my Metlife 401k (five domestic, one international and one emerging markets) I can report that emerging markets have GREATLY OUTPERFORMED for the year to date. This also is true of emerging market funds in general as far as I can tell. And this from a group that is supposed to get the flu when US stocks catch a cold.

I have found over the years that groups which hold up the best in bear markets frequently lead the ensuing bull.

**OT** and Sunday is also a slow day

OT Question: "computers in the same office"

Zeev,

Could you please give a short & simple description of the
signals from satellites used in the global-positioning system.

If i make the assumption that any signal can carry data,
and under water communication without the use of a wire,
for example a submarine, is limited by the water absorbing
the signal, what building materials that an office may be
surrounded by would prevent using the global-positioning system.
---
... computers use their internal clocks to timestamp new files,
but changing the clock is a simple trick even for a notice.
... anyone can give the impression they were hard at work
on a Saturday afternoon when they were really at home
in front of the television.

... how the new time-stamp technology works are secret,
Hed says it has a global-positioning system which uses
time signals from at least three satellites to fix
its exact location on the earth's surface.

... each file [encrypted] giving it a unique time and space identity.

Different computers in the same office will give different locations
because of the accuracy of the GPS system [to] identify
the computers being used in on-line transactions, so that
only computers in "authorized" locations can be used.

... cites cases where fraudsters have managed to divert
cargoes of oil while the tankers were at sea,
because their captains were unable to authenticate
the source of purchase orders...
