"So I guess approval for Copaxone is years away. Why else would the incentive be to get the approval after such long drawn period
- An Incentive to get FDA approval within NEXT 4 YEARS ? Which indicates to me they are no way close to approval...not even in a year or so."

Incentives are structured so that there easily achieved. So much of the timing for Mcopaxone's approval is out of managements control so it would be unfair to set a timeline which punishes management for doing a good job.

I actually had the opposite thought -- that perhaps the Board decided to award these incentives now because approval was coming into sight...

Nonsense. This sounds like the kind of logical fallacy posted by zipjet in the thread where it was claimed that a manufacturing deficiency at an unrelated factory in Israel was the reason the FDA hasn’t approved Teva’s Lovenox ANDA.

Have you ever heard of companies’ developing a five-year plan? Well, that’s what this is. If Copaxone is approved in the next four years, management gets a nice bonus in the form of restricted stock, half of it vested on the date of approval and half vested one year later. This doesn’t say anything in particular about when the FDA will render a decision on generic Copaxone.
