I like Ferris, I really do. He's an amazing engineer, and he's done wonderful things for this company.
However, he's frankly out of his league in the arena of public company finance and PR, and that's not intended as a slam. As I mentioned, he's pretty darned incomparable as an engineer, and in that capacity he's irreplaceable, at least for now.
I personally think he's getting some terrible advice, and sometimes, like all of us, Bob makes poor decisions when under duress and receiving "advice" from those with other agendas. (Remember the 2006 "sale?")
Unfortunately, whether it's bad intent (doubtful, in my opinion), or simply poor advice, the result is a proposal that's ill-conceived at best, and downright dastardly at worst.
It has to be stopped. Hopefully, Bob will bring in some financial people who can give him the advice I don't think he's getting.
