KEWL!.. wasn't sure if that was the right answer, but it made sense to me LOL...

Here is the text of an email I just sent out to my local email group about a new venture we are doing....

Hello all!

My friends and I have started a new group. We are calling ourselves the FOOD NAZI'S.

WHAT ARE THE FOOD NAZI'S ??

Once a month we plan to get together to create a meal to deliver to the City Mission.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We are asking for donations of any food items to help us serve this cause. It can be any food item at all. Soup Ingredients, meats, noodles, vegetables... even FRESH FRUIT... Dessert Ingredients.... Jello, Pudding, Syrups.... you name it and we'll make it!

RECENT ACTIVITIES....

Today the FOOD NAZI'S met for the first time and created approximatey five gallons of Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup and a Pistachio E'Clair Dessert !! We started at 3PM with this, and were done with preparations by 6PM. Afterwards we delivered it all to the City Mission at 10th and French Street where the people there gratefully helped carry in the meal, the dessert, and also a lot of fresh fruit that Mary Long had contributed. The people at the City Mission were very greatful when we showed up. They poured our soup into their own pans to refrigerate them, put the dessert into the refrigerator, and one of the workers (likely homeless) said, "WOW, I haven't seen a TANGERINE in YEARS!"

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?

In today's economy, we are all becoming increasingly aware of the plights of ourselves as well as others. We believe that what we are beginning to do is the right thing to do. HELP THOSE IN NEED. Who knows? Someday, you too, could NEED this service from others.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO NEXT?

Simply email me, and let me know if you or anyone you know of is willing to get involved with the FOOD NAZI'S in any way, shape or form. Whether through food and/or dessert/ fresh fruit contributions
or a desire to meet monthly with us to help prepare and deliver the meals! Any and all participation in this effort is highly appreciated! Even just letting your social/church group know about this would be awesome for us!

WHY THE NAME "FOOD NAZI'S"?

Ok, before anyone gets all in a TIZZY over a name, the name FOOD NAZI'S was derived from the famous Seinfeld Episode. The classic COMEDIC statement in that episode was when the SOUP NAZI said, "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" lol.... there... now you know! HAHA!

WHAT TO DO NOW IF YOU ARE SCRATCHING YOUR HEAD.....

If there is anything that I haven't made clear to anybody about the FOOD NAZI'S, please reply to me ASAP with your questions.

Showers fizzle out overnight. Lows will fall to around 40 degrees in the Portland area.

This morning expect cloudy but dry weather. The best chance of showers is later in the afternoon and evening. And we may get a few hundreths of an inch of rain at the most. Daytime highs remain on the cool side though, and we won't warm up much this week.

Tuesday and Wedneday look like the best bet for getting dry days with a little more sun.

Then it's back to showers for the rest of the week.

From the Cascades to the east there is a good possibility of snow accumulating at 3,000 feet or above, a few inches at most. A winter weather advisory is in effect for parts of central and northeast Oregon through Tuesday morning.
