So, if you're convinced that particular sequence of PM's is an example of "exception", put it out here so we can discuss just what it is that makes one 'exceptional'.

I tend to agree that PM's are just that, but, as you say, there are always exceptions.

I used to think that Private Messaging meant just that ie a private communication between two people who consent that their communication be kept private for whatever reason. However, when one of those two people unilaterly decides to send an unsolicted abusive private message, that definition no longer holds IMHO as the parties did not both agree beforehand that the communication be kept private. Kinda splitting hairs but I see nothing wrong with posting abusive Private Messages.

I thought I agreed with you that private messages should not be made public, but, like in so many other things in life, there are exceptions.

Once again I agree with you Fred! I have always thought PM's should be kept private but unfortunately there are people who misuse them.
