I think thats the point:Nokia is now facing a potential ban if the CAFC decides to send this back to the ITC.So WHATEVER they in intend to do in the USA mkt with their cellphones, a settlement is necessary.Yes,Nokia could wait, but in the interim their phones could face a ban, thus stopping ANY new initiatives.So.. that is why the CAFC decision has such importance..for Nokia..not as much for IDCC.

IDCC with a CAFC remand and a ban could dictate licensing terms that might be far higher than Nokia could now settle for.So whether they announce a settlement Friday..or not..IDCC remains a BIG threat..no pimple!!

jmspaesq: Although the IDCC case is nearer to a final action, in my humble opinion I believe that if there are any comments or questions about litigation, it will probably be in relation to the various Apple suits and countersuits, rather than IDCC.
