Isn't it possible for them to know SOMETHING about that core before it goes to the lab? Handheld detectors exist.

katx sent hole #1 to the lab and it had zilch! so katx may or may not know something before hand...it had to send the sample because they drilled it not because of "handheld detectors exist".
