If that is the case why did they go through the trouble of getting orphan status less than 2 months ago and not tell investors. This looks like they did not like the original deal and now want better terms.
Even though they would compete with a generic wouldn't taking 1 pill vs 3 pills a day make a big difference to you as the patient. Also it what really only counts is what the insurance companies are willing to pay and although the patients co-pay may be more for a non-generic I would pay more for the once a day pill.
