I have to admit I also thought your stated approach would work but sadly learned after several 'FACE to FACE" meetings with FH that he just doesn't give a damm. Keep in mind this was even at a time when he needed and pretended to listen to SH when he was diluting the crap out of the company.
The best ideas and company research I have seen in a long long time has been generated by Whatscooking. My vote is we go with his plan of attack to wake up this sleeping dog. Of course everyone is free to do as they please.
