"Proof-of-Concept" I don't like the sound of that. I thought or hoped we had something more solid, something that was commercially ready now.

To speculate, as this board is doing, that the handset makers will have to work with IDCC is a bit premature. I wonder how long it will take to confirm that this proof of concept is commercially ready.

mschere, not sure what you are looking for in response to that very old fragment of a quote????

It mentions WTDD in context with InterDigital and also reminds us that nobody has launched a "commercial" deployment of WTDD yet, but what does any of that stuff have to do with MUOS?

MUOS is using W-CDMA "FDD" based on everything we have seen so far, and... regardless of who thought what back when, IDCC got the MUOS contract. QCOM and the other guys finished second or worse in the competition to provide "commercial" 3G air interface tech for the MUOS program.

Yee Haw! Score one for the little guy from KOP. $18 million here and $450 million there, before we know it IDCC will be racking up some serious cash this year. LOL!
