Here's todays WT-a...

B) Mountain Dew

"No, Quiztaker, there aren't any refreshment stands on the mountain. If you're thirsty, it's BYOSD (bring your own soft drink)," our guide explains, dryly.

Always one to keep things in theme, you berate yourself for forgetting a certain soft drink and settle for bottled water instead. Which of these is a citrus drink from PepsiCo that would indeed have gone nicely with the tour?

Your Answer: Mountain Dew

With a name that usually refers to moonshine whiskey, Tennessee-born Mountain Dew was first made in the 1940s to be mixed with liquor. Early packaging and ads kept Mountain Dew in touch with its roots, featuring a jug-toting fellow named Willy the Hillbilly and his pig. Pepsi acquired the formula in 1964, and eventually slogans like "Ya-Hoo Mountain Dew! It'll tickle yore innards," were replaced with a more modern approach. In the 1990s, we were encouraged to "Do the Dew," which has grown to include a variety of flavors.
