No, it did not. Kaplanis signed a 2 year employment contract on 7 February 2010. Bordynuik and Coy told him on 14 July that on 14 September he would be shifted from working for JBI to working for Plastic2Oil.
Presumably nothing about that arrangement had changed when he was abruptly fired on 9 August.
